A Story
Thought I’d share a story with you all regarding one of the last times I saw Randy.
In the Summer of 1980 (I believe it was) he had come home for a visit, and called me up to meet him up at his house. I had not seen him since the QR reunion shows and was anxious to catch up with him about England, Ozzy, etc. We were only able to hang out for about an hour, but it is an hour I will definitely never forget. He was glad to be home, and in a familiar place, his mom was there, as well as my own mother. He told me they were thinking about naming the first LP “Blizzard of Ozzyâ€ÂÂ

Gary.....Really cool of you to stop by and share that story with us. Very much appreciated. To you, Randy was a close family friend. To us, he is an icon. A really great post.....the story, the autograph, and the photo.....all of it. Thank you again.....

Glad you all liked the story, I had some free time last night. I'll look around and see what else I have that may be of interest. Randy was a dear friend and I am just happy to see so many great fans continue to honor him. There seems to be a large following of younger and younger fans, he would be especially happy about that.

Gary.....Indeed Randy would be proud and honored by the legions of younger fans that hold him in such high regard. I'm one of the "old school" guys who continues to be inspired by Randy even all of these years later. Randy's influence will continue to be felt for generations to come, as even newer fans come to discover his genius.....and that is what will keep his memory alive forever.
