Ice hockey is something I think I will start watching regularly; when I watch a clip like that clip I find it very exciting.

Re: 2010 World Cup!!!
Yeah, not a lot of crybaby action to be found in ice hockey...Duncan Keith from the Chicago Blackhawks caught a puck in the mouth and lost seven teeth, (four up, three down), in the western conference finals against San Jose.
He was on the ice five days later to start in the cup finals versus Philadelphia. He had a smile like a six month old tyke lifting that big-ass trophy over his head last week.
The best thing for me about hockey, is drop the puck and go! There isn't a lot of standing around and wasting time.

Whenever I put on Blizzard or Diary, what a wonderful, delicate furious beast.... I MISS you, man!

That reminds me of the semi-finals between Inter Milan and Barcelona when Sergio Busquets was barely tapped on the chin by Thiago Motta and he just went FLYING back, clutching his face, rolling on the floor in agony. He wasn't in enough pain to peek through his hands though!!! Here's the video:Cpt Matt Sparrow wrote:LOL
In one of the qualifiers, I can't remember who it was, but he dived to the floor in unbearable pain and then with his hand over his eyes like a little kid made a gap in his hand to see if he was getting attention. It was so funny!

Anyway, I understand the falling down part. I play soccer, and when anything disrupts your running momentum, you'll trip up and probably fall. But there's no reason why you can't get up IMMEDIATELY. There's no room for rolling all over the floor like an imbecile!

This is what I love about Rugby, people just play on and give it their all. I know they take the piss out of the puss cake footballers, whoopiecat wrote:Yeah, not a lot of crybaby action to be found in ice hockey...Duncan Keith from the Chicago Blackhawks caught a puck in the mouth and lost seven teeth, (four up, three down), in the western conference finals against San Jose.

Rugby is a brutal sport. My dad was a prop back in the day and he broke his collar bone twice and his nose once!

Ronaldo did a few of his customary dives today in probably the most uneventful game so far..and another draw too!
What is it with so many draws and low scoring games; this is being a weird world cup so far; I hope Brazil kick some action back into things later

North Korea are giving Brazil a run for their money! The number team vs the 105th team and they can't even get a goal by half timeAlex wrote:Anyone dare to think what a North versus South Korea game would be like?

Re: 2010 World Cup!!!
I liked how the players all helped one another up too. That was a really nice touch. I think Brail really under-estimated North Korea...it was sort of evident as none of them were really invested in the game until maybe 30 minutes in. But it was nice to see an interesting score line though! I was getting tired of all the ties. Lame! How beautiful was that first Maicon goal! What an angle!

All hell will break loose...literallyAnyone dare to think what a North versus South Korea game would be like?

BTW Matt, thanks for the compliments on my guitar playing from earlier in the thread. Yes, my name is Dennis. I started playing guitar the moment I heard 'Crazy Train' as a wee pup...20-something years ago. Randy is what sparked the flame.
And what is up with the low scores? Maybe the horns are subconsciously making everyone a little more conservative?

David Badiel said today ,when asked if he believed England could win the world cup, that he believed it in the way he believed Elton John and Kiki Dee were a couple in the seventies...He knew in his heart of hearts they were not; but tried to believe it LOL
