Totally serious and straight-faced.
Everything you said Tom was spot on , I see Rush much more than "just a band" these days , they are an inspiration to the chemistry and comaraderie that keeps a band together through thick n thin and my respect keeps growing , they've had the lowest of lows when NP's wife and then daughter passed away .. that right there could have stopped the band permanently .whoopiecat wrote:Too funnyThey, especially Alex, have a really great sense of humor, yet they come off as such a serious band.
They truly are unique, as they've been together for so long, yet there's been no infighting, no substance abuse problems, no ego trips, nothing. They have tremendous dynamic, as they truly are buddies...as well as expert musicians.
When folks say 'underrated guitarist' Alex always pops to mind. If it was ever tough on him that Geddy & Neil got a lot more attention for the mastery of their respective instruments, or that his guitar took a back seat to the synth-driven direction their music took in the eighties, he's never, ever shown it.
Rush is just a class act all around, and rank easily as one of my favorites.![]()

Spending the work day listening to the era of Signals to Presto.
Thanks again for that theater list, Ritchie. A bunch of my FB friends who live elsewhere in New England wanted to know if their state was playing the doc and I was able to help them.![]()
