Just my opinion, but why would they reference Blizzard of Ozz with any body OTHER THAN Randy Rhoads on the guitar?

Well, consider this:
Ozzy had two concerts filmed for/by MTV. The Diary with Brad, and the BATM with Jake.
Neither have ever had an official release. Ozzy's first official home concert vid was "The Ultimate Ozzy" from the US tour.
I've got both, but they are DVD-Rs from foreign countries, and the covers look semi-pro, with Ozzy's name.
They actually look better than this cover, unless this one is a press-release mock-up.
Otherwise, I would expect Ozzy's forthcoming DVD to have at least a mention of Randy's name on the packaging, if not his pic.
I forgot to say thanks to you for posting this, Shock...but, I'm sure all of our minds are going a million miles a minute!

Gonzo distribution??!! No mention of Randy Rhoads??!! Wouldn't this be released by Ozzy's record company? You can buy the show with Brad Gillis on Amazon too, that's where I got mine a few years ago. This could be another release of that from a different company.

I don't want to be negative and I hope it is the real thing, but this is just a BIT fishy... Then again, the cover shown could just be a mockup.

Technically speaking, Ozzy's tweet never said pro- shot footage. He just said he saw amazing footage. Sweet Jesus, pleeeeease let this be the real deal!! I will have to be committed to the looney-bin if this is Brad or Bernie

Thanks, Funk...can I ask, is your copy the full show? (Ozzy between song banter w/ the crowd?) I've heard some sources do have this, and I'd like to find it.
My DVD says SOTD, too! I was suprised to see them launch into OTM!

not possible though...to many things add up...it is randy

#1. Randy Documentary being Made
#2. Footage issues obviously with Randys documentary
#3. Ozzy hoards all video for his own rights and allows nothing to Peter
#4. Ozzy is shown footage from Shelley and shatz his trousers
#5. Ozzy gets on his iphone and tweets "its amazing Randy footage"

#6..Ozzy releases never before scene footage of Brad Gillis on Diary Tour.....YA OK

Whoopiecat I'll have to watch it and get back to you. I don't really like the video I think Brad is a good guitar player but not even in the same category as Randy. Shockwave I hope you are correct you have put some logical thinking behind what your saying. I agree with the cable guy it says the Blizzard of Ozz presents on it and that is what made me think it has Randy on it but I'm still skeptical and will drive myself crazy until I see it or Ozzy says yes this has Randy Rhoads on it.

Yes he did say that supposedly, but that was when this was considered a Blizzard of Ozz pro shot show and we all that thats what would be released. This is throwing us for a loop, its a Diary show, but Ozzy said its a 1981 date...Put that together and you get the New Years Even LA show ...Unless its from the UK diary tour?

It is what it is, but it is tough watching Brad. I give him a Fuckin' A for effort though...every night was a tough room for hin to be in.
