This day in Randy history

Post by TWAPILOT »

Randy left L.A. on a Monday in March. He had just had ten days at home and had all three of his wisdom teeth pulled. He was miserable. At the end of the week he caught another cold--typical Randy--and when he left that morning, he was so sick! I said, "Please call me when you get there, Randy." He did, and that was the last time I ever talked with him.

That was 28 years ago today my friends...2010 is a mirror of 1982.
On an adventure of faith...

Yep, this year the dates match the day names as they were in '82.
We are close to friday march 19th , 'The Day the Music died'......

Its weird when I see things like this and realising the timelines just how much we have all lost! We here live, love and promote Randy and it seems to me like he is still with us because he is still so current to us.

This has made me feel very sad indeed. :(
Cologne she'll wear silver and americard, She'll drive a beetle car and beat you down at cool Canasta. And when the clothes are strewn don't be afraid of the room touch the fullness of her breast feel the love of her caress she will be your living end.

I realized a few weeks ago that the '10 calendar is the same as '82. I always get a sick feeling in the pit of stomach on March 19th anyway, and this year I feel it will be worse since it is on a Friday.

Trigger, the second sentence of your post says it all. I too feel that he's here in the present day because it just feels that way. Then I read the dates of the pics and realize how young I was and how much has passed since those days. What would Randy do with today's music technology? He'd still be light years ahead of anyone else.

From my previous post on a different topic...
Wednesday will be 28 years (Damn, I feel old) since my brother took a very young me to see Ozzy at the Omni in Atlanta. My life changed forever. Still got his guitar pick. Still keep a shrine in my home thanks to my very understanding wife. Still eat Chinese food just because he did. Still cry like a baby every March 19th since then. (and sometimes when I'm just thinking about him after one too many Irish Car Bombs. Lol.)
God bless you Randy. See you again one day.
