Steve Vai on That Metal Show

Post by tedeeoo »

Don't know if anyone caught this last night, but I have to say I have nothing but utmost respect for Steve Vai. For someone who has done as much for guitar as he has to be so humble and gracious is amazing, we could all learn from him. His comments on being compared ( or moreso how he shouldn't be) to Eddie Van Halen were just great, I have always been inspired by Steve's dedication to the instrument (much like Randy) and now am even more inspired by Steve the person.

Steve IS undoubtedly one of the most gifted guitarist of his generation. His mixed approach to constructing arpeggios and diminished chords beats Yngwie by a long shot, also, he's not a jerk!
