I live in Worthing,west sussex.Nigel lives in Hove near Brighton I believe..about half an hour away.Ive just text our drummer to find out if Nigel is up for a few questions,and be interesting to see if he has any memory of that tour,I understand he had only just joined Saxon and had just 2 days to learn their set,as their drummer had been injured!You never know Nigel might just have some photos.Will keep you all posted.

God i'm embaressed,this is my first post and ive been a member for ages..bloody lurker!!
I am in the midlands about 3 hours from you, I woulkd be interested in knowing if he managed to get recordings of the shows he played because that might give us an idea that more recordings of Randy exist from that period.

PS dont worry about lurking! many members start that way, I think it gives you an idea if by joining you are getting onto one of the less friendly type forums. :wink: I have done the same many times.

Its strange really,I'm a member at T.K but just hardly post (boring bugger),my first post on T.K was about meeting Don Airey,I talked to him alot about Randy,didnt discuss the accident with him out of respect,but he had alot to say,he really loved randy.One thing he did mention which I'd never heard before or since is that a track written by him and Randy appeared on one of Dons solo albums,he made a request to the Rhoads family to ask if he could credit Randy on the album,but they turned him down, so in the end it was just credited to Don,couldnt tell you the track or album.
Maybe someone could find my old post over there and paste it here,im pretty shit with computers so wouldnt have a clue how to find it!.Theres a great story he told me about getting lost on the way to the stage,only just making it with seconds to spare,aparently randy didnt stop laughing till after the first three songs into the set!..bit of a Spinal Tap moment!!,again the full story is in that post.I also asked him if randy was as nice as everyone says...he said "yes....he wasnt the angel everyone says he was but yes he was a lovely guy" (or something similar!).

Another little bit of info for you,a local band were I live called Dirty Shoes has a guitarist that was playing in a band in 1980 in the Brighton area,one day they had a call to say Ozzy was playing the Brighton Dome and the support bands bus has broken down and it doesnt look like they can make it,can they do the slot instaed!!,anyway the shoes guitarists band get down there,start unloading their gear,and the original support band turns up after all!,so instead of supporting Ozzy,they were given some great seats down the front,they loved the gig,but the guitarist wasnt a huge fan of Randy for some reason,so didnt have much to say about him,i think he was more starstruck with seeing Ozzy!

Oh and another little one for you.... the photos of The Plough pub in the leaked doc trailer.....they are my brothers!,we took a trip to Ridge Farm,and found the pub just down the road!.Would have thought Peter would have taken some when he came over here,strange he used our snap shot for the trailer!?

10-Saarbruchen
11-Karlsrube
12-Bosenburf

They visited France but played no shows, left on November 18 to return to England.
7 shows cancelled:
3 in Germany

Strasbourg-23rd, =>21st

Geneva-22nd

Reims - 23

Paris-24th => re-schedule on 22nd with venue changed

I spoke to someone who attended the show .. ozzy set was cancelled at the last minute... well over 20 years have passed memory are fading away...There were also some rumors that either Ozzy gone berzek or the mayor of Paris put his veto preventing the band from playing all related to some blah blah about devil worshiping and so on....

Lille-25th
