which concert was the et footage?

That was a very good way to put it EA, It wasn't that long ago that the recieved wisdom was that no pro-shot footage existed.
A few of us old Knights were out there with a deep seated belief and a few hints from those in the know that footage (Holy Grail) was hidden away. We all kept the faith and because many of us were keeping this legend alive for almosr 30 years we look like we are likely to see it.
This forum has been a pressure group and with its place on the net established, our members here and others across the web are setting the agenda and making it clear that whatever is hidden should be seen/shared.

I hope for everyone's sake that wareagle has found the real thing in regards to Randy footage, but everyone bear in mind that if seeing this footage depends on Sharon Osbourne's approval, you can probably all hang it up. Why would she and Ozzy give approval to a showing of a full Ozzy concert with Randy when they have a documentary coming out that their son produced with Randy footage in it that they want EVERYONE to buy. The best hope for everyone to see what wareagle has possibly found is to hope the Osbournes, or someone with more money than them, buy it and release for everyone to pay for. Don't mean to come across negative about it, just looking at Ozzy and especially Sharon's history on stuff like this.

I agree Tedeeoo.. I do appreciate all the work Wareagle has done, and Im hopeful.. But I cannot see the Osbournes allowing the show to be shown at a theater before they release it.. I could see them allowing it after the official release though. Heres what still gets me.. Ozzy comes out and says, "Hey, saw some rare footage of me and Randy.. Ill put it out later this year" And thats it! No more details.. Would it kill someone to at least tell us what show it is? How many songs? The date? Apprently this Bill Shelley guy is the one that supplied the footage to The Osbournes, Cant he tell us what show it is?? Honestly id be happy with just that for now.. Just a few more confirmed details for us, the Randy Rhoads freaks that have waited most of our lives for something like this.. We still dont know for sure what Ozzy has seen.. Maybe its just the complete ET footage? Hence the title of this thread.. Is it 3 songs? 8? 10? I dont think we're asking too much at all..

Realize that all of the "newly discovered" footage was a direct result of the Randy websites getting organized all over the world and searching for the answer. Greater interest = Greater chance of footage being found. Shelley was always out there but we didn't have someone check it out 10 years ago for Randy fans. The more vocal (in the positive sense) we are about all things Randy the better the chance something will come forward. It might very well be some 12 year old fan of Randy that has a dad or favorite uncle with connections to the film industry. Therefore, I suggest we make as many friends as possible; not enemies. Wareagle said it best, "Answer these questions three." It's WHO you ask, WHEN you ask and WHAT you ask that gets you the desired answer you hoped for...

I agree 100 percent Matt, but we all know how Sharon is when it comes to money versus the fans. One thing I notice is that Ozzy is everywhere right now, it's almost like they're trying to re-establish him, a book, the documentary a new album and supposedly his biggest tour in years. It could be that the next couple of years will be good for all Ozzy fans, I think the internet in itself has had more to do with all the footage we see nowadays than any kind of pressure, not just of Randy but of everyone. I don't think a person like Sharon really caters to what anyone else thinks (esp. when it comes to how she markets Ozzy), and she doesn't strike me as someone who would bow to any kind of pressure, but that's just my assessement from a fan's perspective. In regards to wareagle, I am always refreshed with hope when I see someone young go out and do something like this, you keep doing just what you are doing wareagle. As someone who has looked high and low for anything to do with Jake E. Lee and early Van Halen, I can appreciate it.

The announcement about existing footage is a blessing and a curse. Until something official comes out we are all gonna have to suffer and wait. Part of me wishes that Ozzy's tweet never happened, while the other part leaps for joy and anticipation.
The O's have a chance to make the definitive one shot at permanently cementing Randy's legacy for generations to come. I hope we get all we can as it pertains to footage.
Maybe Mr. Garni can shed some light on the upcoming Randy projects? At least a hint of what is to come. If not that, then let us know when some announcements will be made. Updated info will serve 2 purposes IMO.
1 - It will serve as hype and PR to get the word out about new Randy stuff.
2 - It will help us all relax. Like by knowing some dates we all start marking our calendars.
Will these things be out in the summer? By the fall? By Christmas?
Anything to ease our painful anticipation, and sometimes our skepticism.

Didn't the filmmaker/footage "owner" show ozzy this footage-ozzy tweeted about it then it was posted here and tk as footage being discovered? Again i don't give a crap how the footage gets out but I don't believe us-the online fans,henry Winkler,Mork or mindy or a 15 year old fan had anything to do with ozzy getting the footage --it's a big payday for the film owner/holder to cash in on.If it was for us and Wareagle is connected to this guy-get him to list the show location and some details-if he clams up $OLD to the O's ans I'll buy it from them when it comes out.as for the theatre

I agree there is a 0 chance of the shows being in a theatre. The effort has been good though on eagles part it seems. Not sure what the hold up is though on the Shelley guy and annoucng what dates he has for shows. He is a big time collector and is loaded, his vaults are not a big mess most likely and everything is organized. All he has to so is walk in the room and read what it says on the cover, not that hard to do it seems.
As Jay says, a lot will come down to down to the $.

Sharon is a calculating businessperson, so the deal could be if there's 2 pro shot gigs, she buys each for $50,000, then it becomes how many units do we need to shift to profit?
If she puts both on the DVD and sells it for say $30US then they only have to sell about 3,300 copies, just in America, to break even.
I agree with Electric Angel in that you can be sure someone from 'Ozzy Inc' will check out UR and TK occasionally just to see the level of interest still in Randy. We have 1,000 members, and even with member ovelap at TK and US, the Osbournes can come up with enough reasons business-wise to do the deal.
So, I hope footage deals get signed soon, and some info filters out from camp Oz on what WILL be happening for sure.
