Found it Enjoy

Post by DMRX »

Well Here it is,after literally months of searching
(at least 20 times in the past 4 months) I Finally
found it!!!!! I Thought for sure it was in the
Bizarro world never to return & it be Just a Memory

This is a Very Very Cool & Rare Article from the
Diary Era,the interview was taken while Randy was Alive
But it does mention his death as an Update.

This is the Famous one where Ozzy speaks of doing
2 Concept records at once (probibly the innital Idea
to get off of Jet,before the word that Sabbath was doing a live album)
Killer of Giants & Bark at the Moon "In Print" so you all can read for yourself

Ozzy is in Rare Form.Brutally honest about the band
& the writing ect.ect.
But I think Its Strange How He talks of
"Something Very Bad Happening to him"
in the not too distant future, like a Preminition
about the Accident.

I've never seen this, thanks for posting it! Did you notice that there were the occasional quotes from Ozzy that were the same as from the Hit Parader interview you posted? I really wonder if these magazines all just stole from each other just to have a story? Also interesting how they make it sound like the band (with Rudy and Tommy) was the original band...the way he talks about forming the band with them. (although he does call the bassist before Rudy "a money-grubbing tight-fisted freak". It's amazing that Bob would go on to write and perform with Ozzy on the Bark at the Moon album after such insults!

That is an excellent article. Thanks for posting!
It really makes me wonder what Ozzy was going to do had Randy lived to do that third studio album. There was nobody left to write the lyrics, so despite all of the badmouthing of Bob, Ozzy would've had to rehire him.

I have this magazine and it is a great interview Ozzy does say things which could be very contridicted as far as who wrote 'Suicide Solution'. Bob Daisley wrote the lyrics apart from the 'wine is fine, but whiskeys quicker' line and Bob wrote the rest. Ozzy says here that he doesn't write "No can't spell".

I thought his concept ideas for the Werewolf / Bark at the Moon idea. Plus how the 'Jack the giant killer' theme which was used on the diary stage show. Ozzy being dressed as the Giant Killer in the giants castle and the hand which came out of the drum riser steps. They worked well and helped sell his albums and sell out his tours.

Cheers Dave and keep these coming
