I have been on a film spending spree lately and one that has left a deep mark in me is Gran Turino (sp?) directed/produced and starredin by Clint Eastwood. It is made with so much heart and cynicism at the same time. Ultimately it is a story of hope and sacrifice...well worth watching. I have never found a film so funny and devastating.

Yes I have that in the Cpt Matt collection too; a great film.
I have always loved him as an actor but everything he directs is magnificent. The Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby are both awesome too!
I heard from someone that when he is interviewed he likes to talk about now and the future and isn't interested in talking about Dirty Harry etc.
By the way I found Gran Torino ever so funny too in places. I love his grumpiness! I said to Suzie he is like Melvin Udal with a gun!!

Tron: Legacy
I had no idea they were making this movie. I still remember seeing the first one in 1982!! Very cool indeed...

I watched the German Hitler film 'Downfall'
I found it stunning as a peice of art and incredible as a fly on the wall as this madman imploded and became obsessed with his ows suicide and legacy of his dreadful 'Third Reich'.

Not wanting to go through 11 pages of this... has anyone mentioned The Killer Klowns from Outter Space?
No one can start a conversation about movies without me mentioning that one.
If that's one you liked - man, isn't that movie great!?
If that's one you didn't like - Well, I wasn't talking to you.

Axeman, me too! well, my wife loves them as much as me!!
I really enjoyed Ghost Writer with Pierce Brosnan and Ewan McGreggor. It is a very tense and twisted plotted political thriller, based on the life of Tony Blaire and the Iraq War. Also I saw two favourites on the plane back from holiday; Toy Story and Dr No
From Toy Story this bit makes me double up every time!!
Woody: YOU ARE A CHILD'S PLAY THING!
Buzz: You are a sad, strange little man, and you have my pity.
