soldering controls
Okay, I have an old '80's charvel Strat with one humbucker and one volume knob (the EVH setup) and I kneed some help with it.
It was once black and I decided to remove the paint, so I de-soldered the wiring and sanded it, sounds simple, right? Well, re-soldering seems to be a chore! I have a godd, new soldering iron, but no matter how hard I try, I cannot get the thing re-soldered so that I can play it through an amp.
I have gotten it to solder up, but I only get a buzz through the amp. I amke sure it has a good clean solder joint (not the dull "cold soldered" look, but it's not working.
Any advice?
