The only proof of any footage was from the Dave Tangye interview who seen a gig being filmed and he knows its not the 'After Hours' film. But we have to hope that the film is still available and not sitting in a film can in someones basement deteriating. We could speculate for hours on this one, we just have to live and hope that the docu will surprise us all. I would hate to think that Peter interviewed all those people because the content of the docu was lacking in unseen footage ?. But we will see, fingers crossed.
So about this Blizzard pro shot footage

I'm hoping that some Live footage does come out of the docu but what i have my doubts about is the source from where the Live footage came from. If it did come from Don Arden, as has been rumoured. Would this not of leaked out before now. I know that it has been mentioned that Peter Margolis has this footage but we don't have it 100%, only on a 'i heard this' theory. I'm sure that someone would of found out through the grape vine what content of footage and how long is the film of the footage and which gig it came from etc.

Nope...... those two bro's from Arizona are sitting on stuff for sure. (but it's not pro-shot btw) And if I remember correctly they showed some of it to Rudy Sarzo too. It's also mentioned once in GuitarWorld magazine.halorising wrote:Three people said they had video of randy. hi8 in Az the two bro's this proshot stuff and another guy all said they had this but all three we found to be BS
As for the pro-blizzard show, I think it does exist, but I'm a bit sceptical if it will be released by Peter.....
btw can anyone confirm if $haron & Ozz are interviewed for the doc? (I didn't see their names at the end of the trailer)
The winner of the rat race is still a rat.
Take a look at the trailer again and tell me there is no Pro Shot Blizzard footage ? There are several live shots of Ozz and Randy, using different angles, (multi camera, I suppose, no one would be able to run back and forth thru a crowd that large switching angles) Randy in shot close up, with polka dot V as well as white V, so is Ozzy. Even the shot with Ozzy picking up Randy is close up, clear and at two different angles. Pictures look clear as a pro shot would be, whether shot on film then xfered to video tape, professional camera was used. Cameras were positioned very close to stage. It was pro shot, no doubt. Check it out and slow down when you come to live shots of show. Not here to argue at all, but the proof is in the rice pudding!

The (new) footage you see in the trailer is from those News reports when they did full rehearsals with the complete castle etc for the Diary tour. This footage is known for already many years, though it was speculating if more footage (then showed in these News reports) did exist. And now we know because some new fragments of those rehearsals are shown in the trailer.

its a 10:00 minute video, you could narrow it down a bit by saying the times in it ....RRfish wrote:Take a look at the trailer again and tell me there is no Pro Shot Blizzard footage ? They wont even say they have it anymore and wont show it to anyone. Me im sure they have it as ive been around here a long time like alot of you. But if they wont show it and they had their chance then its bs. Till they prove it to us that they have it and or to all of you i say bs. I bet the best shot we have of seeing something new is from the Osbourne's. With OZZY's new doc. coming out why would they give anything to peter. I would think anything would be used in his doc. Im sure there is proshot stuff out there somewhere but till it comes out.The Flying Dutchman wrote:Nope...... those two bro's from Arizona are sitting on stuff for sure. Dutch, my point was that, if this was shot Pro-Shot, so was Blizzard. So many dates in New Jersey, New York, and California, let alone Arizona. When they played in Cali, it had to be pro-shot at that time. If News footage covered Diary in Cali, it covered Blizzard as well. Arden's would have seen to that! Remember this was before Sharon and Daddy split up! Sharon holds the key! But at this point, I am realizing that what I wanted most, will most likely not be. Dee will probably never see this doc, and as for me, and many others, she was the most important part of who Randy was. If it is the case, that Dee is not around to see it, I don't really care whether this film gets shit canned or not. Sincerity is the best form of flattery, and those are the docs that make it. I have not seen one bit of sincerity from those who gave there word to Dee. I recall in the doc trailer, a fellow said "I don't know why people don't get it?" regarding Randy's talent. I think many don't understand how it feels to grow up with a person who was just a friend, and a normal person, and too see how taken advantage, his reputation and talent have been, (in unscrupulous ways), at the cost of his family, and most of all his Mama. "I don't know why people don't get it ?"
I know some on this board believe that the Ozz has talent, but I have to disagree, respectfully, Ozz is an ACT, just like a circus, who has his voice double or tripled to sound okay, because he was boozed up, or on drugs. Look at how many concert dates were canceled during that period. Maybe it is called live and learn, and no insult intended, but the naive views sometimes that come out here, are just that, naive. I will boycott this film, as well as the Ozz doc, and mark my words, you see who is going to rack in the bucks for the Blizzard footage ! I am sure it won't be Randy's family, Bob Daisley, Lee, Rudy, or Don Airey! I would bet on it. It will be the children O$bourne/Arden! The same as it has ever been.

Get your point Fish!
I do believe there has to be tons of stuff with all kind of footage (pro and no-pro) from concerts, backstage, private stuff (like that birthday footage) etc. But when it's locked away safely nobody will ever get to see it, it can sit in vaults for decades. And it can even be forgotten if nobody cares.....
I do think Ozzy has a talent though: he came up with the vocal melodies that turned the ideas from Bob and Randy into songs. And with his madness (that's a talent too! ) he helped to get a lot of publicity!

I agree that the Osbournes can probably make the most exciting documentary. But if the "change of guard" theory is applicable, then the only chance to see new stuff soon is that it will be released by someone other than the Osbournes.....

They proved it, but yep it's a bit sad they keep it for themselves. I think that's BS too. But who knows what's going on, maybe they have good reasons for that..... (?) And of course they say now they don't have it anymore to stop being bothered by it. Same for the Osbournes: what does not exist can't be released.halorising wrote:They wont even say they have it anymore and wont show it to anyone. What i dont understand if even if it is true that Delores is the guard of all things pertaining to Randy. How can she have control of what Ozzy has of Randy?
Its Ozzy's band and if he wanted to release stuff i dont understand how the mother of one of his musicians could block it? Don't get me wrong I love Dee but i dont understand how she can have control of what is really Ozzy's possessions, especially since what we understand of Randys contract is that Randy was just a hired musician for Ozzy anyway and even if he was alive still today he would have no say most likely of what could be released.

it's simple.
Randy's image. she may not have control of "Ozzy stuff" but if it has something that was written by Randy, or has his image on it (video tape, and pictures) she has say in it. just like if Randy were alive today, he would have say in what happens to his image. though since he is no longer with us, his estate has gone to his mother, so she now has the control in it.
not to mention, i don't think the Osbourne's really want to mess with Mrs. Rhoads. either they respect her too much, or they are afraid of another lawsuit, they respect her authority. i guess.

Exactly! And maybe there are still some 'guilt' feelings that play a role too...Remember Randy Rhoads wrote:i don't think the Osbourne's really want to mess with Mrs. Rhoads. either they respect her too much, or they are afraid of another lawsuit, they respect her authority. i guess.
I think technically nobody can stop the Osbournes from releasing stuff if they really want.
