Right, so you have shown some great support and interest in the idea I put forth to you. Which has been fantastically recieved :)

Now, I would like you all to suggest some ideas, like how should we have the documentary presented, what would you think would make this work? Music ideas, interview ideas, anything just pop your idea here.

I'm open to suggestions as we are working on this as a team, if anyone else would like to contribute then dont be shy come and tell me what you think you could bring for our documentary. :)

How about using some of the music from the previous RRCD projects?

That is a good idea, Matt, you're in charge of the RRCD project, what you think?

Hi Simon

That sounds great. I would have to run it by Mike Lowery and then participants you select, but I am sure there would be no problem.

Sweet, well at least we know we can have a form of a soundtrack for this documentary.

Might want to interview Craig Collins Turner or Chet Thompson and Janet Robin.

How serious is this documentary going to be, like are you going to get copyright clearance so you can maybe burn a few DVD's to pass around amongst fans or is this something that will just be posted on YouTube?

I think this documentary is an excellent ideal, yes i believe that it should be about Randy as a person in not only how and why he was such agreat musician but that how he inspired many such as his students that they could do anything and to believe in yourself, also i remember asking Peter on the film documentary website along with a few other's asking if Randy's frying pan(pedalboard) was going to be shown and possibly have some great player play thru it to show the sounds but Peter said that the film was going to be focused on Randy the person and that the average person wouldn't be interested in Randy's gear or equipment and that who know's if it even works after 25 years, something along those lines,me however ,maybe i'm dreaming but i would be drooling over Randy's pedalboard if i could ever see it and i could make it work if it didn't after all these years, yes kevin dream on about ever seeing it(grins), so here's another ideal, what if you could have some great player's show clips of playing Randy type stuff thru their pedals that are the same like what Randy used like an original MXR distortion plus,or MXR Stereo Chorus and any other of the effects Randy used like a Roland Space Echo etc.., like maybe have the pedals hooked up in the same chain like Randy's pedalboard then run em thru the Marshall Randy amp-now granted this may be dreaming big but i bet many especially aspering guitarist would love to hear the same vintage type of pedals like Randy used in his frying pan (pedalboard)plugged into the Marshall Randy tribute amp-maybe this is a crazy ideal but I'm just a pedal tone addict-just an ideal.Kevin

Simon, this looks like its going to take off in a big way mate so i'll give you my ideas. You could ask Dave Tangye for a video interview he just lives up the road from you in Cockermouth i believe. If he was as cool about doing the Q&A interview i don't see why he wouldn't say no. Plus i'm sure its within your £4.50 budget to get the bus to Cockermouth Eh! LOL!! But joking aside mate i hope this does well mate little acorns and oak trees type of thing.

Hey Guys

I've just contacted Bob Daisley and Robert LaFond Jr.

Guitaridol5682

Thats a great idea, where can I get in touch with him? (PM me if need be :) )

krandall

Thank you for your words of encouragement. I hope I can get something out of it, maybe not a pedal board, but we'll see whatever happends ya know?

MrCrowley

Its a non profit documentary, so who knows, I haven't worked out about Copyright yet as I'm seeing this as I said an online documentary "for the fans by the fans" and who knows where it could lift off.
I'll let you know for sure when I have the interviewees lined.

Paiste2002

Good idea! Do you know where I can contact them? :)
I've asked Matt about Janet Robin, he thinks she might not be able to though.

Simon I only think this basic concept will fail if you lose interest, as long as you stay focused this will fly. Keep your ideas small and if you get some big hitters ready to help that is a bonus 8)
