Romeo, OMG ,this is really hitting home for me. Do you know what date these videos were produced ? Do you know the date Perry was commissioned to create the Randy 8 string? If you can find out, I would truly appreciate it! Please let me know, it may answer a lot of questions I have had ! :fish:

Thanks so much for posting those videos ! Cheers

I didn't post the videos, I just posted the links. I don't know the dates, but I'm sure Kelly will tell you. I was suprised to see those videos, I knew about the bass awhile back ago but I thought it was gonna stay secret for a couple more months. I was suprised to see the videos, but I think the bass is cool as hell, the most awesome bass I ever seen. I think it's awesome that Randys dna and fingernail is embedded in a musical instrument. I bet that's something he never imagined would happen, but I bet he'd love knowing he is still here on Earth actually inside a instrument making music. I think it's awesome!

Romeo, thank you so much for your reply. All I can say is that, since last August 2008, I have felt such a strong connection with a person I went to High School with, that person being Randy. I could not understand why my memories of Randy started flooding back into my mind after so many years. I still remember him as he was then, shy, quiet, and a beautiful soul. When you posted those links, and seeing them, the connection has become more apparent to me. My origins are Perth and Mandurah, Western Australia. To say the least, this has been a little bit of a revelation for me. If you or Kelly can find those dates, I would truly appreciate it! Thanks again for the video of you and K.G., I am sure
Randy is LHFO in heaven! :fish:

Hey RRfish, Perry did the project in about 5 weeks, although his guitars usually take quite a bit longer. The videos had to have been created within the past month or so. I'm sure the complete build will eventually be up on his diary page, starting with the original hunk of wood through finished product. Perry is a master at making guitars, and a hella cool dude.

Thanks cableguyxx, "five weeks !" that is incredibly fast work . Do you have any idea when Kelly G. commissioned Perry ? Just curious, I have pm ,K.G., but no answer as yet.
Perry looks to be a very creative soul.. I'm glad he did this for K.G., very impressive! Thanks again :fish:

Hi everyone, thanks for your support over this ridiculous situation. I will get to all the PM's when I can. I'm still very sick. Been in bed and haven't eaten since Saturday. I come on here when I have a bit of strength. I'm sure Peter hopes I croak. As far as Romeo, he is a very cool guy, even somewhat soft spoken if you can believe that. I admire his balls and honesty. His methods may not appeal to everyone, but at least he doesn't hide himself like some bigmouths on here. Thank you to paiste too for sticking up for him. There is a method to my percieved madness. Trust me. I just need a couple days to keep some food down and throw this bug I got off. BTW, I just posted a response over at TK in response to Peters post. I acknowledge that he has worked very hard to create something very great about Randy as I've seen it myself. But I also think he has worked equely hard to create a monster of an editing task. Therein lies the problem. I see lots of footage of people who knew Randy for five minutes. And, sadly, there is a time frame here that should be honored out of respect and courtesy, as opposed to what a contract says. It's become a question of decentsy now.

Thank you so much Kelly, and I do believe what you have said. Only hope Delores will have enough time to see this through. So sad if that does not happen for all. You stay and get well , my friend ! You have no perceived madness, you loved Randy as he loved you ! Thanks again for doing the right thing !! :fish:

Mr. Garni

Thank you for sticking up for what is best for the fans. I was originally upset at Mr. Dubrow for not wanting to be involved. If he was so close to Randy and the family, I just couldn't understand why he wouldn't put aside any differences and be involved for the family's sake. I now believe that he may have been right all along. I am sorry for that. I am just a guy that idolized the guys like you and Randy during my teenage years. To be able to do the stuff you guys did as kids, is amazing. Thanks for making time to talk to us fans.

Kelly when you get the strength to answer this question please do. I know the story behind the RR finger nail. But what on earth possesed you to keep hold of it. I could of understood if Randy had died the day after the fight. But for you to keep hold of it, like a keep sake memento from that day ?. Please explain as i have always thought it strange to do what you did.

GUITARIDOL: It is quite odd, I wonder as well ???? Could be sentimental value, since Kelly was deciding whether or not to stay with the band at that point. Interesting little tidbit for you, apparently the fingernail was lost in transit to Western Australia. Ended up at Singapore Fedex, then was shipped to Austria instead of Western Australia, I was told.

Hey Kelly, why did you keep that fingernail ? Let us know ? Cheers! :fish:

Well, the day after the fight, I felt really bad. After I got out of jail for being a dumbass, I didn't know where I stood with anyone. Then Randy called me up laughing at me for getting thrown in the can. My girlfriend was cleaning at the time, and rebuilding our living room. She found the nail while vacuming. She handed it to me and it was such a surreal thing to have after all the mayhem. I always said Randy was special, and it was wierd to hold a part of him like that. It almost had a life to it. You couldn't just throw it away. I kept it, only to bring it out when the curious would come to see me and see my collection. It's like a mojo to me now. I'm never allowed to have an off night on that bass. It's somewhat of a responsibilty in that way as well as I'm super paranoid about someone stealing the bass just because of that. I have my manager put in special provisions for it's security in any riders. And I put in a Tom Cruise proof security systym in my house. Also it's insured for a ridiculous amount.
