Having known the family through the years they have had their ups and downs with the Osbournes but if Peter crosses Delores and the family look the phuck out! Sharon will be on him like a banshee. And Romeo once again hit the nail on the head. Some of the people I saw were very small in relation to Randys life. They should of kept it to people who spent time with Randy and had a relevant relationship with him or ongoing.
Sadly I think there will be a ton of excuses and people being thrown under the bus when people question why it's not done.
I have a friend right now in Burbank who does independant film. If the project gets into Kelly's hands I will gladly toss Kelly his name. He has done alot of independant work and I have no doub't he could finish this.

The damn Blizzard concert dvd is the MOST important thing, but Peter won't admit that because it kills Peter to know that this is not about his talent are lack of talent of a film maker, itr's about Randy Rhoads, and more specifically, it's about Randys MUSIC.
Interviews are JUST interviews, and you don't need video for that. I mean I'd just as soon buy a transcript of them than to look at the face of Tommy Aldridge or whoever, I don't need to SEE these people on video! They are NOT Randy Rhoads. I only care about knowing the information and stories about Randy they relay, and that could have been done just as easily through TEXT OR AUDIO!

Hey Kelly Garni talked to me a few hours in my house telling me all kinds of stories about Randy Rhoads and stuff I never knew before, maybe we should have filmed that with the camcorder? That in itself would have been just as good as this documentary will be, because that's all it comes down too is people telling thier own stories & experiences about Randy Rhoads. See that would have taken no time, and had we filmed a couple hours of that and put it on dvd I know for a fact most people on these boards would have bought copies of it.

yeah it's all cool skeeza, but maybe i should write a will because i WILL kill myself if all this stuff isn't released. No for real I am the most hardcore Randy Rhoads fan, as I stated in a old thread I would trade the lifes of my family for more RR pro shot footage, it's just about the only thing in the world I care about. I'm not being sarcastic, I'm 100% for real.
I could really care less if it gets released to be honest. I went to the Blizzard show and Diary shows in Los Angeles. But it's a matter of delivering a product in a timely manner. Peter isn't building the great pyramids here nor is he painting a Picaso. He is filming some interviews and arranging them according to a time line I would assume.
To bash Kelly Garni is pretty lame since he has been the only member of Quiet Riot to openly engage the fans and speak on their behalf. Drew doesn't need to do it nor does he wish to because of nonsense like this. Rudy is busy with touring and stuff and doing computer graphics. So give Kelly his due credit. He doesn't have to engage you fans like he does but he cherishes those times with Randy and it's important to him. Obviously Delores, Kathy and Kelle (Doug) respect Kelly enough to keep him inside the inner circle per say and Kelly has their ear. So once again I think Kelly has quite a bit of cred here, next to Lori Hollen and Frank I would say Kelly is standing in tall cotton.

George taught very briefly at Musonia and left under other than desirable circumstances. Frank definately deserves his time as do Lori and Kim, Jodi, Drew, Kelly and Rudy ect. Craig Turner because he was Randy's star student whom Randy flat out told I cannot teach you anything anymore and Craig took over Randy's students when he left for Ozzy. So who knows. Bob Daisley, Lee Kerslake and Don Airey, Tommy Aldridge. And maybe a few others obviously Dee and immediate family. But man the interview list is insane. What does everyone get ten seconds each?

Feeling well enough to respond now. I happened to be in the Knowville area taking care of some other business and decided to rent a car and drive up to Romeo's and see what he was all about. I had spoken to him on the phone before and found him to be a very cool guy who was passionate about Randy. It was my girl friends idea to shake Peter's bones up a bit with this "satire". I also felt I was speaking for the fans. First off, I had a blast and Romeo and his girlfriend were so accomidating and gracious. Very great people. The first thing I would like to address is my supposed "taking over the film". Admittididly, sorry for the spelling I'm still loopy. I meant that someone needed to come in and take over the reins over what was being filmed and how and most importantly WHY? I did have a meeting with the Rhoads family and it went none to well for Peter. He's clearly lost sight of the real story. As for for me not being a film maker, well, that's true. But I have been a photographer for 17 years and I've written 3 scripts and participated in a number of local short films. I may not know the tech end, but I know the rest.
Oth, you bashed his guitar playing ability so yea I asked you to man up and put something up there youself for us to hear and see. I mean that is after all fair right? If you belittle someone have the ballsack to upstage Romeo or just shut up.
Here is whats kind of funny. Peter has an amazing guitar collection that could leverage for a loan to finish the documentary. If he cares about Randy so much and the films completetion he could easily use that collection as collateral. Hard to explain his way out of this since he has some pretty rare axes.

Great follow up Kelly. I have no doub't this will get done. Lost focus? If filming the bars of Randy's windows is true I would say spiraled out of control. To me Kelly things could've been simpler. Like I said there were only so many people that had direct interaction with Randy during his QR days and Ozzy days. I think you could've kept it to twenty to thirty interviews and been done. Glad ya got to meet Romeo I like him because he tells it like it is. And he has some solid guitar skills.
All I wanted to do was step in and try to get the direction of the film back on track. My first suggestion would be to release a trailer so that everyone could down load it without fear of being a criminal. I had spoken to Peter's croanies and told them NOT to put out any statements that they were going stop production on the film because of this brilient hustle Romeo pulled on them. Instead they released statements saying that is exactly what they were going to do. That was like spitting in the face of all of you who have waited patiently while cinamatic masterbation ran rampart. When they did that, I chopped off a few heads. It got back to Peter and now he won't even return my calls. (wussy) I offered to spend a few days a week in LA sitting with an editor to try to get this thing done. Once again, I basically got a go screw yourself. Yes, I relise it's Peter film and would never step on his artistic toes, but at lease I know what revelent and what's not. I could cut down all the weeds so to speak and get to the heart of the story. But I guess they don't think I know anything about Randy. Bottom line: we;re stuck for now.

There's your relevant interviews that would shape a story from a young teenager to his mid twenties. Hell with that list a ton of good info could be told. I am just baffled by all this really. To me it's in everyones best interests to get the word out about the film. So the trailer was a great thing. I hope you guys can get stuff back on track. Not sure if your with me on this Kelly but my thing is Delores deserves to see this finished. I lost my mom recently and I know Delores is a few years older and is no spring chicken so thats why I am saying finish the damn thing. Peter should show respect to her and the family and not keep dicking around with this.
I've only skimmed this thread so i cant really say much, but speaking as a filmmaker i will say that documentaries are the toughest films to make in terms of timespan.
Years is not an entirely uncommon means to the end. It can take an age to capture the footage you need and even longer to figure out what kind of story you want to (and can) put together.
Having said that Peter seemed pretty sure what he wanted to do when this project was first announced. Personally i had my concerns a long time ago when the list of people he was after kept growing. Peter may just have too much footage. I have faith he will still turn out a good film, and even if it was shit its better than nothing, no?
Peter should probably have never announced this project untill it was already well under way, would have kept the anticipation to a minimum and may have avoided other trouble...
In any case i have no idea what is going on in the production process, But what i'm trying to say is lets all try to be patient. As fans you've all been sucking up crumbs for years, if we get a documentary great if not we are no worse off
