If I were Peter I would tread very carefully. If the Osbournes feel Delores is wronged or the family I would expect some type of legal angling towards him. The road hasn't always been pleasant with Ozzy and the Rhoads family but they are very protective of Randy's interests imo. So in my opinion it's in Peters best interests to shit or get off the pot.

The above is speculation but if Delores passes before the documentary is released expect the sharks to start circling Peter.

Out of interest romeo' Why did Kelly agree to make this video with you? didn't he realise it would bring bad feeling his way from some people close to the film?, a film he has been aiding since the camera's started rolling.
I find his reasons to participate confusing.

Wait...what? It can't be. I will lose all control of every bodily function I have if this is true.

I certainly hope it is.

I think more people will be excited about a live show than the doc', given the choice I would sit down and watch the live show over and over again until I got bored THEN I would watch the Doc' as kind of DVD extra.

+1
A few weeks ago we got confirmed here by Dave Tangye that a Pro shot Blizzard show must exist. Did this play a role or was that Blizzard gig in the pipeline along with the documentary long before?

They've known about this Blizzard show for a long time. It came from some guy that stole it from Don Ardens house. And when they started this documentary the guy contacted them to sell it to them. they have it now and it will be released.

Plus remember that rumor that was spread on TK for such a long time about these twin brothers having DOAM footage, well that turned out to be true too. They have very good video of two DOAM shows, about 3o-40 minutes each, one taken from the first row & one taken from the 5th row. But there's no audio, so they will synch it up with some audio from a good bootleg show and release it too.

As far as me being in the video, it's the perfect way to crap all over Peter and it shows him how unpredictable Kelly is.

Peter dosen't realize how close he's come to losing control of the film over to Kelly. Kelly has done everything he can so far to get control of this film. If Kelly had control of this film right now, he would have it finished and in our hands before the end of this year! Kelly has the Rhoads family blessing & backing on this, they would rather he take over the film than Peter. They don't like Peter. But obvisouly Peter has a damn rock solid contract with Delores. So we just have to wait for Peter to finish it, and if it's not finished by April, Kelly will take the reins and finish the film himself.

Kelly wants the film out this year.

The main problem with Peter is, is he's basically turned into this insane, litterally insane, obssessed Randy Rhoads fan.
It's like he's running around interviewing everyone now more for his own personal collection than he is for the film.

He went from being a fan, to a film student, to a film maker to being a fan again.

That's why the budget is spent and he freaked out about the trailer because there's no money left to pay the photographers for the pics that's in the trailer.

Peter really has screwed up big time.

But at least the light at the end of the tunnel is there's so much Randy stuff coming out it's going to be so awesome.

Peter will also be releasing about 10,000 photos never before seen of Randy Rhoads in the film & book.

I think his crew actually gave some of the mods or someone at TK a disc with some of those photos on it. I think. But anyway I'm looking forward to seeing them when they are in the book & film.

well, everyone has their own agendas & egos, and just like that cindy lauper song, money changes everything, haha

it's just human nature i guess.

but in the end it will all work out good for us fans, we'll be seeing & hearing lots of new Randy Rhoads stuff, everything will be released, nothing will be held back from us fans.

you gotta remember all Peters boss at Dakota cares about is the bottom line and how much money they can make, everybody got their hands in someones pocket somehow, money is the grease that makes the machine work, but as long as we finnally get to see all this new Randy Rhoads stuff, that's all that matters in my opinion.

another cool trivia tidbit I learned about Randy is that his first car was a 1965 Blue Mustang. but he was looking at some pretty girl and got distracted, and somehow crashed & his car was totalled.

I figured it would be Kathy the one foaming at the bit over this Romeo. To me yea I want to see the documentary but it's more important to me from a personal standpoint that Delores see's the finished product. As a teen I remember going to Musonia for drum lessons days after Randy had passed and her pain was just so obvious. I am not sure if she has ever overcome that in the times I have spoken with her at the house and on the phone. Peter owes her that if he is the Randy fan he claims he is.

I have to applaud Kelly for looking out for Randy and the Rhoads families best interest here. Mad props for Kelly for manning up and basically saying deliver what you promised. I mentioned before they made three lord of the rings movies in three years time. This documentary is like a shit stain compared to the logistics and make up and special effects and editing process. It appears to be a money issue and Peter had a budget and went over it. Well why make the family and fans suffer for lack of planning on his part? He should take out a personal loan and get the film finished then recoup any monies he had invested in the film. That makes sense to me.

You're a top shelf player and stand up guy Romeo. I love the fact that you tell it like it is. Some people on TK and here don't like that. Randy was no saint but he was a hella cool dude and one hell of a guitar player. He deserves to have his story told. He is a special part of Burbanks history.

On a weird side not as much as it pains me to ever agree with Kevin DuBrow. Maybe Kevin had a hunch in not wanting to do the film. Make ya wonder eh Kelly LOL

That's very 8) news!
That footage from those brothers is not all from the DOAM tour but also from '81 from what I heard:
there is silent footage (so no sound...) from the 1/1/82 Phoenix show, more than 1 hour, 2 cams and one is 2ft from Randy! 8) The other is from the 27/6/81 Tempe show, about 20 minutes. There is an audio boot from the Tempe show, but till this day audio from the Phoenix show has not come to surface....... But maybe they can use one of those soundboard tapes TA talked about? :)

Any info from which gig the pro-shot Blizzard '81 show is?

wow, romeorose goes from villain to hero....by shouting off his mouth and probably speaking too much if any of his talk is true...How in the hell is kr going to take over this film?Is he a film director all of the sudden?
Also why are people dumping on peter?Films take a while to make and he is on schedule -3 yrs right? Most films have delays.Wtf is romeo whining about pm becoming a fan again?People will bitch that it doesnt have enough of a fan perspective, people will bitch if it isnt more impartial....how bout be satisfied that there will be a film? And if anybody isnt satisfied with the progress make a film about RR yourself-see how you enjoy the headaches and the gratitude people show you-haha.Ridiculous,whiny thread.

Since you seem to LOVE Peter margolis so much why don't you go propose to him and ask him for his hand in marriage and then you two can get a room together???

As I stated before the Rhoads family, Delores, Kathy, and Kelle, are all VERY unhappy with Peter, and if they had the power to remove him from this project right now, he'd be removed, they just don't have that power because he's under contract with them.

You've obvisouly missed the whole point, because this isn't a "whiny thread" at all.

There's lots of Randy Rhoads footage coming out, it's just a matter of time. And Peter would like to think he's some kind ogf great film making genius with his documentary, but he's not.

It dosen't take someone of Martin Scorsese's filmmaking caliber and prowess to edit together a film of mostly just interviews based around the life & times of Randy Rhoads.

Most people are just wanting to see the documentary to hear more stories about Randy, to hear what these people have to say.

It dosen't take a genius to film that.

Nor should it take 3 years.

It's as simple as setting up the interviews, going where you gotta go to film the interviewee, you don't even need fancy movie cameras and crap, all this could have been done with a couple $40 halogen worklights and a $200 mini DV camcorder, and most people on this board have the skills it takes to edit the video together. Most people know how to use video editing like Sony Vegas Pro or Final Cut.

And bottom line on that is, it would have been done good enough to please us fans of Randy Rhoads, we would all still buy the documentary regardless if it was made by amateurs on a $3,000 budget or if it was put together by professionals on a $300,000 budget. Because the content would still be the same.

If you wanna kiss up to Peter than be my guest. But Peter is the reason why all the budget was wasted spending thousands of dollars filming a horse and filming bars on Randys windows.

And like I said you missed the point again, the problem with Peter being a fan, it's not because he's a fan persay, it's because he's got a job to do, and he needs to be wearing the filmmakers hat right now and spending the budget accordingly and only filming the most relevant stuff instead of being the most obsessed fan in the world and wasting time & money on footage and interviews with people no one even cares about.

Some of the people Peter interviewed in that trailer I let you see, were getting several minutes of screen time, when Kelly Garni only got a short moment of screen time. They way they edited that trailer they made it look like certain people were big parts in Randys life, when in truth & reality Randy hardly even knew some of those people.

Peter is letting his huge ego get in the way of this documentary getting done and it's also blurring his sense of reality.

Also don't forget that this isn't some kind of Disney movie we all live in where everything is good, moral and ethical.

Aside from Peter's obsession, he is about money, he is getting a paycheck for all this, and he is using Randy Rhoads to further his own carreer as a film maker.

His first thoughts wasn't oh I'm going to do this for Randy, Randys family, and Randys fans. His first thought when he concieved this documentary was hey I was lucky enough to have been a student of Randys, now I'm in film school, hey this is a great opportunity for me to capitalise on all of this and make lots of money and gain fame and exposure.

If you don't believe that then you can keep on drinking the kool-aid.

How would Kelly Garni take over the film? Like I said in my previous post in this thread, The Rhoads family have already given Kelly Garni permission to take over the film and finish it. The only problem is he can't because Delores is bound to Peter by contract until April.

It dosen't take a big budget to finish this film. They can get a student from UCLA film school to happily finish it for free, all that it needs is editing. Peicing all the clips together to tell the story they want told, cutting it all down to size.

You won't see me bitching about the documentary at all. It's JUST interviews mostly about Randy.

That's nice and all but like I said, the biggest thing to me personally is seeing that Pro Shot Blizzard concert.

To me the documentary is just the appetizer, and the pro-shot footage and other stuff is the main course.

And yeah Peters cashing in on a dead man for sure. He's got his CD coming out for sale which is a 1 hour audio of a guitar lesson Randy gave him. And they are also going to be selling a HUGE coffee table size book about Randy, the first half will be about the film, the second half will be about Randy and it will have tons of photos of Randy never before seem.

They also have probably about a hours worth of footage taken of Randy as a kid and of that area in Burbank by other kids and their parents in the 60's and 50's, they didn't even know that existed until the start of the documentary and then people started coming out the wood works with footage of home movies.

As far as being satisfied that there's a film, I'm satisfied about there being Pro Shot footage.

To be very frank with you, the reason why I'm in such a big hurry for the documentary to be released is because this Blizzard dvd show is going to be released WITH it. So the sooner the documentary is released the sooner I can see the Blizzard concert.

I agree with the other poster that said they will watch the concert more often than they will the documenatry.

For example there's several documentaries about Jim Morrison and the Doors, I've seen them a few times each, and then there's the live concerts of the doors on dvd like The Hollywood Bowl, I've seen that hundreds of times.

The concert footage is #1 to me.

Your comment about films take awile to make and he's on schedule is funny to me, haha!

He's definitely behind scedule.

Peter and this documentary has turned into something that you'd imagine in the movie Spinal Tap.

Look Muddy Waters could go in the recording studio and make a kick ass CD in three days time!

It took Axl Rose 15 years to make a CD that sucks ass!

Just because you spend lots of time dosen't gurantee a better product.

This is not rocket science, it's just interviews.

That's all it is.

I see no reason why this should have taken longer than 6 months tops to produce and have available for sale.

OMG.... Arrrrr...me thinks, me sees two pirates, for the price of one. Looks like a mutiny in the making. LMAO  You guys rock! Proves my point once more, there is not a boy or man alive who has not been naughty
You two sure know how to come to the party! Never a dull moment I'm guessing ! Romeo and Kelly, thanks so much for making my day, you both have shown a lot of heart by putting this together. If there is an afterlife, I dear to imagine who else is LTAO : You two are more than Cheeky!!!!

Paiste: So sad to hear that Delores is not doing so well. :( That has always been my biggest concern with this whole fiasco. At this point I don't care if "P"
gets his freakin ass sued. I know that's not a nice way to think, but if he hadn't jerk around so much, I would feel differently. This was not handled well from the start. If we are upset about it, I can't begin to know how the family feels. :?

I hope you are correct in what you have said about the Ozbourne, Rhoads family relationship. I want to believe that they are protective towards the Rhoads and of Randy's Legacy. As well, I 'm thinking your observation about Kevin is most likely true. Regardless of their differences, these three fine young gentlemen (Randy, Kelly, Kev) loved each other.

Thanks again Kelly G. and Romeo, Hysterical !!!!! You make me smile!
