Hats off to that. Sometimes agreeing to disagree is just the best thing
I was quite surprised to find out that Steve Jones played a Les Paul Custom. In comparing something of an equivalent of my own generation-Nirvanna, Kurt Cobains use of Japanese Fender Jags (fine instruments but not top of the line), I found fitting with the ethos of Grunge. However I found the using a top of the line Gibson contradictory to the punk ethic. I expected him to be more "I don't give a shit what I play on" type attitude.
Did he get the Custom cheap or something similar?

If you like Slayer, Anthrax and Megadeth you can't be cutting up punk. Those guys and countless other thrash and speed metal bands are fundamentally influenced by the hard, rude fast edge of punk.
Oh bring me some CHUNKY PUDDING, and bring it RIGHT NOW!!!
