I have come back with a brownish face, brown lower arms and half brown legs.
The rest is paler white LOL

I heard on the radio that England was experiencing a heatwave. They said that the heatwave was at a "level 3," meaning that temperatures were getting up to 90F. That ain't nothing compared to here!

PS, I got a wicked sunburn on the inside of my right knee. Hurts like a bitch.

I'm all for a nice warm day but it feels like God has his magnifying glass out and is burning us alive in Texas like fire ants. Here in San Antonio we have broken 3 all-time highs for June. July has just started and we are now in Stage 3 of drought. It has been 22 months of little or no rain. If you live in a desert 104 degrees F is probably normal but not in Texas. We need rain!!! Not flame broiling...

This occasion also reminds me of when it snowed "heavily" in London last winter. How many inches was it? 3? Go to Fargo, North Dakota, USA and ask them if 3 inches is anything to write home about.

Anyway, the whole not being prepared for that sort of heat must suck. You won't find a house out here without air conditioning.

The heat isn't on the scale of Texas or Cali' but in certain areas the heat is more magnified, yesterday 2 dogs died in our local park after being walked due to the heat  They were not old dogs and hadn't been stressed in any way, I have 2 white Staffordshire Bull terriers, which are the breed that was used to create the American Pit-bull (which were bred to be bigger).
This type of dog love to sunbathe and will bask in the heat when other weaker breeds lye in the shade. My oldest dog will to 20 minute cycles of sun then shade, sensibly making sure she doesn't overheat. The younger dog spreads herself out on the patio and unless I make her come in she stays there (she's no quitter!) yesterday while local dogs were dropping like flies I went out to her and she had a pool of drool spreading away from her mouth she had turned from white to bright pink! And was shaking and twitching!!
She will not move herself I force her to come in to cool down but she still goes back out after 10 minutes cooling :? I am sure I will come back soon to find 1 white dog and another that is mostly scabs any day soon.
