Fan since '82. Some of the best Randy I've heard. Listening on a laptop too!

That Zeus sounds amazing. Something about small speakers captures some essential element of Randy's sound at that time.

Again, Halo I couldn't be more pleased that a real Randy fan now owns the Zeus.

Halo ? Did you get to find out the true story behind the history of how the Zeus got into the hands of the previous owner. Was this taking from the bus by Jerry Calhoun or has the story been hushed up now it is seen for the first time working etc. Everyone was calling the guy on ebay for being a thief etc. So that would make you the owner of stolen property ?.Handling stolen goods ..

Because the issue in question never really got answered. The guy selling it got labelled a thief etc. The item was supposedly a made up piece of B.S etc. We questioned WHY Jerry would just hand this over to the guy ?. We never really got any of those answers. Now that Halo is the owner and it is back in the hands of the RR community. We all have short memories are not bothered now about its where abouts. As long as we can see it being shared, this would of been very different if Halo had kept it to himself.

In a normal situation (without all the emotions and this set of VERY unusual circumstances that has surrounded the Zeus)I think Shaun would be right; but, I think 'unconventional means', have had to employed to see the Zeus in a better situation than it was a few months back!, ie in a new owner's hands that actually cares for it and also is fond of Randy Rhoads.

Even if you don't agree I think it is he lesser of two evils.

I agree.

As for the 'back in the RR community' or 'in a new owners hands that actually cares for it' - what kind of crap is that?

Do any of you know the previous owner? IF he got it from Jerry Calhoun in 1982 as he claims, it's because he went to the crash site shortly after the crash. Takes a fan to do that.

Now after all these years he decided to sell it. Anyone know his financial circumstances? Maybe he needed the money and this silly little amp was thr only thing of value he had to sell? Does that make him less of a fan?

This RR community is so judgmental of anything that goes contrary to what the elitists feel is 'the right way'.

The seller is a fan Randy's but not like us. The reason's he sold it to me are that I was a big fan and he new i would share it with other fans. He had other offers and even for more money. But the big swing was i offered a Sandoval pdv on top of the cash. He is a guitar player and really liked that. As for how did he get it, who know's but it was 27 years ago and we cant prove one way or the other. He did however drop a big name in Jerry and you would think we can just call him and find out. But remember when Randy died he was just a kid in a band that died. That's like me right now, Im not this big well known guitar player. Im just like Randy was then. So if I ownd a bus co. and found something on a bus and knew the owner died id prob. put in a lost and found or wait for someone to claim it. The thing is we have no way know. Being who Randy is today do you yhink Jerry would say anything? Try calling him.As for stolen good's, It's only stolen if you know it's stolen. In this case he told us all how he got it. He did'nt say I stole it. So till we prove otherwise let's just enjoy it'

Hi Paul

A couple of things. Firstly am I to take it you have changed your view now of the product. In the other thread you wrote...
"Well, in the end the seller gets the money for something that was not his (provided it's real, which I still doubt) AND a PDV????!!!"

The second this is personally I was a little unsettled by the seller, as he quoted something I said without asking and used my image on an ebay sale. That struck me as a little slippery. On a non personal basis ,the fact he had it for 27 years and no one knew and therfore were none the wiser... compared to the situation now, of a known fan of RR owning it and it being available for people to enjoy...

I know which one I think seems better to me 8) 8)
