I heard that Randy suffered from a common condition called Anemia which makes your skin turn pale.I don't know to what degree he had this but the symptoms are either bad or easy to live with.Does anyone know anything more about this ??

I'd say I don't think that is true, as he was rather tan from years in the California sun.
Thanks for posting the "Rudy the Hairdresser" picture... when I was Googleing that pic, I came across an interview at Metal Sludge and read this:
Rudy Sarzo wrote:18. Which singer on the Glam Slam Metal Jam has the worst hair challenges?

B. Jani
C. Kevin
D. Donnie
I'm not a hairdresser. (laughs) You're asking the wrong guy.

Rocky i read this in the Garry Sharpe Young book Ozzy Osbourne and it was Kelly Garni who mentioned it.He was talking about Randy touring etc and he quoted that "He was either tired or sick.Randy got sick a lot,he suffered from anaemia".I think if anyone knew about this it would be Kelly...
The only reason I said it didn't sound logical is the comment about Randy's skin being pale - because he looked tan to me.
I have red that he had health issues a lot, though I never read of a specific reason for that. Here is some more information on anaemia. Randy may have been a lot healthier if he'd simply eaten better and taken a vitamin with iron - oh, eah, and the smoking didn't really help.
I hate bringing up a very old post, but his hair was a shag-style hair cut. Rod Stewart always had this style. It's cut at different lengths. Sorry for bringing this back. The second photos, around the 70's really shows the type of hair Randy had. I always thought it looked cool.
My guess is that Randy's hair was Ash Blonde. It's dark in the winter months and lightens up during the summer months. I have the same hair and I use Sun In during the summer months to really get it blonde-looking; although if you swim alot it stays blonde year round. That was a huge dilemma on the artwork (see Artwork section) I got commissioned for Electric Angel. I liked Randy's hair better somewhere in the middle (not too light or dark). If you look closely at the artwork you can tell I went for "dark roots" and not a pure blonde look.
To be a teacher you must never stop learning yourself...
I imagine that his hair was dirty blonde and maybe he'd high light it or let it get naturally lightened by the sun. I know during the summer, my dark brown hair starts to get streaks of amber thanks to the sun.
It looks like Randy had super layers. Running a round brush through the hair and blow drying the hell out of it will get your hair too "foof" like his and like some mentioned earlier...HAIR SPRAY!
Nic thats what happened to my hair in about 2000 it all 'foof'ed off I had hair down to my arse and decided my long hair was going. I've got easy hair now and being about 5mm long all over with bits missing at the back due to going slightly bald
