I have fixed most of the picture links on the TK site. I will do my best to get the full story and pics on this site as well.

Where Are The Pictures?

Post by RR-ElectricAngel »

I noticed that a photo of the plane wing was put up here. Where did that picture come from? I can't find that photo anywhere.

Sorry to say this, but I never seen such a picture here. If it was I'm pretty sure I would know.

Plane Wing

Post by RR-ElectricAngel »

I've seen the picture of the wing debris on one of the other Randy sites but can't seem to find it anymore. I was sure it was at "When The Music Died " site but have lost track of it. Does anyone know where the picture is in its original form (not spot highlighted)?

Yeah i'm sure i have seen similar pics elsewhere ? The only pic that comes to mind that i've seen regular is the one next to the tree, and you can see the landing gear next to the garage.

I just digged in my archive, I found an article in the GW August '98 issue,
so far this is the only pic of the crash site I've seen:

Made a better quality scan of the pic above:

*a very small version of this photo can be found in Randy Perry's "The Day the Music Died" section.

The pic of the wing without the highlighting can be found here:

It seems to be a scan of a personal photo album.

THANK YOU, Dan, for checking on your photos at the "tk" site. It seems to be working better now with about half of the pictures showing up. Some near the end of your initial post are not showing still!

Maybe best to repost the whole thing here?

The pic of the wing that has disappeared is now part of the RR doc.I t was a picture Andrew Klein had posted and now he is part of the film crew and handed over his collection to the doc. I think it was very similar to the one linked. For anyone who is interested here is a link with all the details of the accident. It is VERY GRAPHIC .

Hi Jay

That is the first time I have read anything about what happened. The three of them really suffered. I wonder if they would have died before the suffering, ie unconscious?

Cheers ):
