What I find annoying is how atheists think that because you believe in God you're not enjoying life. Hoe ignorant.

Hi Logan

I didn't interpret it like that. I think what it meant was for people to stop fretting about the prospect of , is there, or isn't there a God and just be happy regardless.

It is something I have never seen before in the UK having religious adverts and atheist adverts.

That's an interesting perspective, Dweebshire. If someone somewhere to disprove the existence of God (which is impossible, but still), then I'd probably be even more worried than before. I am sure that what draws many people to a certain religion is its stance on the after life.

I would say look at it again.

It isn't addressed to those who believe in God. It is addressed to people in the wondering stage.

I didn't find it offensive and I believe in God.

I can see your take on it Matthew and perhaps it is true that that is indeed their point. I still see another problem with it and that is this: The debate one goes through when constructing a belief system can be one of the most intense processes. In this belief system will be your, morals, ethics, traditions, behaviors, likes, hates, wants, needs...the list goes on. Whether or not God is apart of that is still another tier in the self-debate. The comment that they quite flippant post on a bus is rather offensive in that it does not address the internal struggle felt by millions of people. I feel that it minimalizes their feelings of doubt and insecurities and reduces them to emotions that do not matter. this is akin to a group starting a bus campaign where the signs read "being gay is a minority so knock it off already!"

While the group may not agree with the subject matter in question they have no right to nonchalantly dismiss the feelings and struggles of others which I feel they do.

That being said i will defend the right of the atheists to have their campaign and post whatever signs they want, i however do not agree with the way they are going about spreading their message.

Point taken.
I agree with you about the flippancy now.

A better slogan would be something like

"life is to be lived and enjoyed. Explore the truth in what you can see. www.atheism.com"

Thanks. Any other either devil's advocate suggestions from believers or genuine alternatives would be interesting to read!

I like the idea of a huge Horse head, not just a banner but across the whole damn bus!! His long flowing mane glistening in the wind. His huge manhood hidden, but so obviously there under his custom made saddle..

"know the Horse..and the Horse shall set you free"

For people who want nothing more than the return of Jesus Christ, one could say this group wants nothing more the armeggeddon, the destruction of life as we know it. The two events, supposedly, coincide to be simultaneous.
Oh bring me some CHUNKY PUDDING, and bring it RIGHT NOW!!!

Actually the Armageddon precedes the second coming and Christs comes in the midst of it to end the suffering man imposes upon himself and to usher in the millennium or thousand years of peace in which he(Christ) will rule. No one (Atheists included) desire the destruction or killing of anyone (even Christians) let alone to bring about the second coming of anyone. Christ will come as a result of the destruction of society not society will be destroyed because of Christ coming.
