no aliens too much really, just they got that signal on a satallite dish in the desert from outer space and it ended up being a diagram to build this thing that could take em through some sort or wormhole and she went, etc. etc.

good movie.

but man, he was hot. well, ok, he's ALWAYS hot.

Ah, I was thinking of Deep Impact, that's the one with the asteroid and Tea Leoni. I love the alien/end of the world flicks...even if I get them mixed up, they are all enjoyable.

me too. speaking of that joaquin... i LOVED his character in Signs. When Gibson's character came home and he was sitting on the couch with the kids with foil on his head? friggin PRICELESS scene. i almost peed my pants. or the part where he is wathcing the alien for the first time on the tv and the kids on the tv in the video are in the way and he goes "move children! vamanose!" - me and my daughter quote that all the time to this day and bust out laughing.
