hey gina: i live in north texas, so no worries here... we'll have some nasty weather by tomorrow and what we have to watch out for is tornadoes... we dont get quite the hurricane that you guys get, we just get all the nasty crap that spins off from it... which can be just as devastating i guess.

my thoughts are with ya girl, i know you are safe...but last time around so many people lost everything they'd worked their entire lives for and that can FEEL like a fate worse than death.

let us know as soon as you can how your home stood up.... and that you and yours are ok.

As far as I know, everything is ok. The officals will let us know when we can come home.
More than likely, we will be able to start back tomorrow.
School is out until Monday, but I'll probably have to go into work Thursday.
As I type this, I'm learning of 2 more storms...Ike and Josephine. I'm not too concerned with Hanna,
as it is supposed to go up the east coast.
Thanks y'all for thinking of me and the family.....Mike got here Sunday night. He left his Mom's
where she decided to leave to go to northern Mississippi.
And....Thank you Frank. I needed a friendly voice to talk to. You and Mer. Love you both.

I got an email from Gina today and although she is not home yet she knows the house is fine. I will leave anything else for her as she is still stuck in Florida.

I thought everyone would want to know.

Hey all. I got home Thursday, and no damage. No tv, no internet. Across the street from me have no power.
It is us, and the people next door that had power. As of today at 10:45 am, we lost power. It must be so that they
can try to restore the neighborhood. I am at the library, as I am having computer withdrawls! I called work late Friday (yesterday) and told them that I just got in. I'll go back in Monday. From what i'm hearing, there is another storm out there, Ike. I'll bring y'all more up-to-date on Monday.

Hey y'all!
My computer is still at the computer store, and it pisses me off!!! Go ahead, say it....that's what I get for buying a Mac. But at least
I have a warranty on it, and don't have to pay a cent. :D

Work sucks; remind me why I came back again?

Still no land-line phone, but the Directv is working, and I can get wireless for my iPod, but that shit takes too
long for me to type and send.

As for "Ike", it looks as of today "they" are forcasting it to go to Texas, but I'll believe it
when it makes landfall. If so, then we will get lots of heavy rain.

Update later!

ARE YOU KIDDING!!??

Macs are like John 5-Fast, cutting edge, versatile, cult status...no problems

PC's are like Amy Winehouse-Talented but nothing new and always going..wrong!! And more popular with the masses.

Actually hurricanes are apparently named after the ex wives of the scientists who discovered them.
