Randy said he was always nervous to speak infront of a group of people.
Maybe everyone in that room was watching when they recorded the fragment?

If everyone had their eyes on me, I would be nervous too :)

Thats why I hate to preform alone on a big stage.

the prospect of more footage is exciting, but honestly i think most of the footage thats out there will never see the light of day.

I caught this too, as I was channel surfing the other nite. Abby saw Randy right away, and we both said that he looked very nervous or something.

Thanks! 8)
I remember back in December 2007 we sat in Den Haag and said the Osbourne's hold video! We also said that they would hold material that had Randy on it from many different things ie personal, live, rehersal etc etc!.

This proves that we were right, and if they have this they have lots more that we have not seen before. Video was expensive and not easy to have back in the 1970's and early 80's, QR had loads of it with Randy. Why did people accept Ozzy had bugger all! I remember seeing a certain people within the RR comunity say nothing else exists, anybody who believes that S&O didn't have something tucked away were wrong, and this proves it.

We know it's out there and we also know who has certain things......perhaps they will start to yield those for us very soon. I know that the film has stired the pot but I don't think that will show us very much that is new (for legal reasons). I think it will be us fans who locate and share the new material in the next few years.
AMEN my friend!

The O$bournes not cooperating with the upcomming documentary to me is another clue why so little has been released over decades. There must be some friction behind the scenes otherwise this situation (to me) is a bit hard to explain. I feel only the Osbournes can make the ultimate documentary when the time is right. :)

Yep, he doesn't come over very relaxed in that clip. Somehow dissapointed as well... I wonder from which year this clip is? My feeling says it was near the end, say end 1981 or early '82...... But I hope (not for Randy...) this is from end '79.
btw Is that Jake Duncan sitting next to Randy?

If Randy was anything like me (and I like to think he was  ), then he was uncomfortable in that clip because the camera was right up in his face.

Then again, if we knew the context of that day, maybe it'd make perfect sense. Y'know, like if Sharon had requested brussels sprouts be served with dinner? Randy'd be like, "Oh man, why'd she have to pick brussels sprouts? The stink and they don't taste good at all. Hey, maybe these vegetables are a reflection of Sharon's tastes as a person? Maybe I should rethink my association with the band... oh wait, he comes a camera... Happy Birthday."

That's probably what happened.

I don't think that's shocking that he looks weirded out. I hate having a camera in my face too.

Okido!

I also wonder when Jake Duncan (assuming it's him sitting with Randy?) came involved with the band. I know he was the tour manager for the '82 Diary tour. Not sure if he was there in '81 as well. (have to check "Off the Rails") In the clip he comes over as a very nice bloke! :)

*we want to know when that camera was there right?

Well the Diary tour started in November 1981 in Europe then the band played the first USA show on 30th Dec 1981 in SF Cali' at the Cow Palace. So this could have been with the band in the post August 1981 period planning the coming 'Diary' tour.

Ok, so now I'm thinking over this clip and it's use and it's all kind of odd to me.
What a RANDOM clip to use, first off. The whole thing is about Randy and how he passed and all and how his death was tragic....so they put in a clip with him saying Happy Birthday? :? Is that ALL they had? Why not more from the award receiving or something. It actually makes me think that's there's not much more out there cause the use of this clip just seems to be a desperate grab to use new footage.

I think this is a tease! the Osbournes know about our longing and searching for more video. I also think they are really waiting for the perfect time for letting it out.
I am sure that this clip is part of a tester to see how much the market is ready for releasing more, I don't think we will be getting it soon, but I am sure we will be seeing more very soon. They have been spoken to many times about video and will know that it is a future cash cow for them.
