I really had to keep my eyes straight forward as my new bride probably would not have appreciated my appreciation of those ladies. :D

Yes they were beautiful but I have to say I really was fascinated by the art form.

Pretty amazing how a woman can move her body, Shakira not withstanding.
Arab culture is stunning, the buildings in the Middle East are beautiful and the culture is amazing I love it there. I think everybody should visit there once to see what it's really like.
OMG the architecture is amazing! i have a very hard time watching the news anymore and seeing all this wonderful architecture and history being blown to bits... i know i should probably care more about the loss of human lives, but i am saddened by the destruction as well... to me it is just as bad as book burning, you know?

hey, if you ever wanna get one past a chick, ask a chick how to go about it. lol.
Noted. :D

But "pervy"? Come on now. You put a beautiful woman, scantily clad, bending her body 20 different ways and a man, I don't care who he is, he is going to have, ahem, certain thoughts and certain reactions. That's not "pervy" - we're designed that way by golly!! And Thank God we are.

I agree Trigger, the culture and history are amazing. It's crazy that such closed minds rule that area now because it has of course been a primary source of inspired thinking, art and expression historically. The food is easily my favorite as well.

Well it's in ihe West that we get all pervy, The arabs view it as traditional dancing.

I know of a church that was built in the year 400 where Christians and Muslims worshipped together side by side.
It was destroyed by Tanks to teach the locals a lesson! :? not sure what the lesson is other than the person who ordered it had no sense of humility or decency.

I don't see that in it (the perviness).

I find it very hypnotic to watch and just incredible. I find it more sensual and passionate than just getting a boner LMAO

indeed. hypnotic is a great word to describe it! conjure up the air of the old snake charmer bellydancers! :)

speaking of hypnotic. the drumming. AMAZING. i could sit and watch the drum groups without any dancers at all.

the cool thing about it is you can really bellydance to any kind of music, if theres a good solid beat it's even better, but really any music. One of my favorite dancers, Tazina, in addition to the traditional egyptian and cabaret type dancing, is also known as "the headbanging bellydancer" - i'm not sure if you can see her mysapce page if you don't have one, but i think you can, and if so... go check out her videos, they are all down her page! She even bellydances to Malmsteen's "I am a viking" - INCREDIBLE! lol. if you can't see her vids or her page, guys, let me know and i'll post links to her vids when i get home from work.

Tazina: http://www.myspace.com/tazina

speaking of... man, i have gotten a bunch of NOTHING accomplished today at work. lol.

I like the Megadeth dance :D

I would love to play Classical Guitar to something like this. Especially some of the fiery Spanish flamenco inspired pieces!

Thanks for all this
