Hello rr4ever, welcome to the forum!
I sadly never been to a RR memorial, its to far for me and I don't have the cash :)

I'm sure some other members on this forum can, and will tell you all about it..

If you look at some photo's you'll see there's a nice bunch of people that come together, look at some Randy footage and sit down and talk to the Rhoads family or friends of Randy / The Rhoads family.

I'm sure it will be a very special moment!

Siro_angel, you're a bit in the same position as me; high costs & sleeping place are the issue.. One day I will go there!

Yeah, whats worse is that i can get high anxiety if something goes wrong, and I'm too far away from home to settle as quickly.

looks like we are all in the same boat i'd love to visit the US but like most people my age i cant afford it plane tickets are enough, never mind finding somewhere to stay.

however, easyjet now do tickets to the US which i think are pretty cheap. If i went i would probably not bother getting somewhere to stay. I would arrive stay up for about 24-48 hours checking out LA, (staying away from the rough parts) then just get a plane home. Quite expensive for one day in the sun but if your feeling mad enough...

if you arrived early morning you could go to the memorial then catch a ride home the same night, would get major jet lag though...

by the way thats pretty bad advice im sure by all acounts. i dont suggest you carry out my ramblings.

jeff hansen (a family friend) usually has everything set up before 10:00am and delores and kathy will show up around noon or 1:00pm. it's unstructured. jeff has audio and videos of q.r. and ozzy going. there's a canopy with chairs set up. delores will talk a bit and answer questions.

Sounds good to me, even dossing rough for a couple of nights would be worth it I think.
After some of the shitholes I've slept in that sounds great, that's the only way I could ever get there.

haha, what a man. remember, you can always take a leaf out of mine and marks book :P you were in the tiny little hotel, we just walked around euston and liverpool street all night rofl. it was funny as some of the people we saw it was hilarious.
The funniest were these lagered up Americans, there were 3 girls (who were highly attractive  ) and 2 lads and they walked up to and asked us directions to the National History Museum. Which was a good 5 or so miles away and they were heading in completely the wrong direction . We said its probably better you call a cab so we hooked them up with a taxi number. the funny part is, although they were liquored up, they wouldnt of hurt a fly they were that friendly
