Flying Dutchman could you shed more light on the randy / sharon thing. I've only heard it was a one off thing and theres nothing much to say about it. But you mentioned and "affair" which would suggest there is more to it than that.
From what i've read on this forum and others in the past it seems Sharon (or $haron if you like) has talked publicly about it quite a bit but all i've heard from her is a brief reference.

its possible... i remember someone once mentioned how randy could very easily (though inadvertantly on his behalf) steal the heart of other guys girlfriends.
Imagine Ozzy Osbourne being hit night after night with the wallop of Randys powerful guitar assualt? Whatever caused that punch to fly, I doubt it was hate or ill will on Ozzys part.
Randy could hold up a Les Paul for hours at a time. I'm sure he was strong enough to handle himself.

Ask Kelly Garni sometime. Randy may have been small but he was very strong and could whoop some ass when required. He must have shown great restraint as he could have mopped the floor with Ozz from everything I've heard.
The Randy/Sharon thing happened before the Ozz/Sharon thing from what I recall. I won't comment on that anymore because, well, ewwwww.

As far as the Randy/Sharon thing, I really don't know what to think. Everyone had such radically different dates for it. All the times Sharon speaks about it on Howard Stern, she gives a different time frame for it. Then Rudy quotes Randy as giving a completely different time frame than Sharon ever gave. So I have no idea what to think about that whole thing (other than it's super yucky).
But you know, you get drunk and do stupid things. Life goes on. I don't think there was anything more to it than just too much booze. No great romance on either side of the fence.
Anyway, poor Randy. Getting socked by Ozzy, getting shot at by Kelly Garni. Guy couldn't catch a break could he!

i agree ozzy was probably drunk and may not even remember the incident, drink aside i wouldn't describe ozzy as having any inclination to violence.
whats all this talk of randy being good in a scrap, ive never heard bout this before? all i know is he could take your eye out with that thumbnail if he wanted!!!
I reckon Ozzy would just have to fall on Randy to win a fight, LOL. I never thought Ozzy was much of a fighter really. There's a new Max Norman interview out that said Ozzy wasn't a fighter or violent, except when it came to Sharon.
And the Sharon/Randy thing...well, I've always seen Sharon as really self conscious. Randy was 10000000% better looking that she ever was then. I don't know how she could have handled dating a guy that was so much hotter than she was. Which is why she probably stuck with the marginal looking Ozzy of 1980.
i've seen a couple of close up pics of randys thumbnail - it was a bit excessive IMO, its at least 2 times the lenght of mine. i also think he had one of both hand judging from another pic i've seen dont understand that...
i dont think randy grew his other finger nails though like some players do
