Or maybe just really hard on equipment
I maybe a geek, but I've got too much going in my life to get to addict level.

I know what you mean...although almost all the stuff going on in my life is music related, I still don't think I'm at addict level

Maybe when I choose to buy a new guitar over my next heroin fix, then I'll be an addict? Just kidding... guitar obsession is not a bad thing, but it's not the only thing either...

Haha! I agree, guitar obsession is not a bad thing...There are worse things to be obsessed about. I was speaking for myself tho'. Damn if I haven't been collecting stuff for 30+ years! I still have my very 1st amp that I bought in 1977 (a Rickenbacker 7 watt 1x8 practice amp)! Sounds like crap but holds too much sentimental value to get rid of.
