I try real hard, yet I suck. It is fun though. I just bought a GMW Rhoads Polka Dot V. It has helped me practice more, but I still suck. I basically just play the guitar to have fun, and I have accomplished that goal, now I just have to concentrate on learning more so I can play something meaningful lol

i been playing guitar and studying music for bout 2 and a half years now. I
dont just play electric i also play classical and slide i'm pretty into it i used to practice up to 7 hours a day... maybe a little too into it

yep thats totaly correct!

its funny how you learn stuff in stages though i got all the technique and theory down good but it was only a year ago that i finnaly twigged "oh... so this is how you improvise"

it can be hard work but once you can express yourself through the instrument its like the best reward in the world!

I've played guitar for about 8 years. Took up classical guitar maybe 2 years ago. Such an entirely different beast than acoustic or electric guitar. Playing classical guitar will really bust your chops if you think you're any good at all, but it's totally worthwhile.
I also play the auto harp, the banjo, and the piano. All great instruments.

Guitars are nice instruments they have a voice that can change peoples emotions they are as close to humans as a drums are, because drums believe it or not are aswell spiritual, after all if a man is out of rythmn maybe it is because he hears a different drummer.

hey its never too late to learn and with all the practice manuals about now you can go from zero to hero in a short amount of time.

Not that technique is everything Paul Kossoff never needed technique and he had a whole lotta soul

yeah classical rules. i've been playing it bout 16 months now, its totaly worth it. Its realy helped improve my overal ability and its relaxing to play something delicate for a change.

with so much good music to choose from thats a hard question!
In terms of classical i prefer listening to guitar pieces as its naturaly something i can connect to (in particular anything by Carulli) although i also realy like Bach and Vivaldi

as for favourite pieces? its hard to choose but all these are great

If you want to hear some mind boggling classical guitar playing, you should check out John Williams playing Vivaldi.

It'll make you feel SO unworthy.
