I try real hard, yet I suck. It is fun though. I just bought a GMW Rhoads Polka Dot V. It has helped me practice more, but I still suck. I basically just play the guitar to have fun, and I have accomplished that goal, now I just have to concentrate on learning more so I can play something meaningful lol

Work Sucks!! Thats why I am on here reading posts!!

yep thats totaly correct!RockyRhoads wrote:The more you put into it, the more you get out of it.

its funny how you learn stuff in stages though i got all the technique and theory down good but it was only a year ago that i finnaly twigged "oh... so this is how you improvise"

it can be hard work but once you can express yourself through the instrument its like the best reward in the world!

I've played guitar for about 8 years. Took up classical guitar maybe 2 years ago. Such an entirely different beast than acoustic or electric guitar. Playing classical guitar will really bust your chops if you think you're any good at all, but it's totally worthwhile.
I also play the auto harp, the banjo, and the piano. All great instruments.

You guys who play guitar make me wonder what I am missing out on

Cologne she'll wear silver and americard, She'll drive a beetle car and beat you down at cool Canasta. And when the clothes are strewn don't be afraid of the room touch the fullness of her breast feel the love of her caress she will be your living end.

Guitars are nice instruments they have a voice that can change peoples emotions they are as close to humans as a drums are, because drums believe it or not are aswell spiritual, after all if a man is out of rythmn maybe it is because he hears a different drummer.Trigger wrote:You guys who play guitar make me wonder what I am missing out on

What are your favorite pieces? I must say I'm partial to Bach! Sor has some good things too.
In terms of classical i prefer listening to guitar pieces as its naturaly something i can connect to (in particular anything by Carulli) although i also realy like Bach and Vivaldi
as for favourite pieces? its hard to choose but all these are great

minuet in C by Sor
Estudio Poetico by Fortea
Bourree by Mr J.S. Bach (but damn its hard!)
Gigue by Weiss
Lagrima by Tarrega
