Hey X,
Great story man!
Funny how Randy asked how the sound was. Another evidence that he was always worried about his sound. So it was a bit like the Montreal boot?, very interesting to know, just listened to Montreal in my car and was thinking about your story. Wonder if there is a boot of that concert you saw?
Thanks a lot man!
(btw. not to come over as a "Global Ass"
but shouldn't this topic belong to General, it's not really Off-topic right? )

Six Pounder...No problem at all. Believe me, it's MY pleasure to be able to relate that story to someone who appriciates Randy and gives a damn...
you guys do which is so cool.
Dutch.....I don't believe that a boot of that show exists. I've never seen it listed amongst the others. I have the "Montreal" show though, plus a few others.....and that keeps me happy. I have played "Montreal" THOUSANDS of times and it never ceases to amaze........that kind of PERFECTION never becomes stale.

Yes I did. New Haven CT - Aug. 2nd, 1981 on the Blizard Tour. I was very young. I remember turning to my friend after the show and said I wanted start playing guitar and play like Randy. I bugged my parents for the next month to get me a guitar. My father gave me his first guitar and I've been playing ever since.
If only.
My only Randy story is one night , i was getting severley pissed, when i got talking to a rugby league player who told me he wouldn't go out on the pitch without listening to AC/DC or Randy, apparently he had met Randy just before the Heavy Metal Holocaust concert in the Uk and had spent an hour or so with our hero, Randy bought him a drink or vice/versa but couldn't understand why he just basically drunk it in one go (a British disease!!!!) He also got Randy's autograph but told me he probably gave it away for a drink or fag!!!!!
This was many years ago and unfortunately, i can't remember meeting this guy again.
Boring, i'm afraid, but true.
