Out of respect for Kevin I ask folks on the board not to leave a post until Kevin has responded thanks I will try my best to be respectfull as well.

Huh? We shouldn't discuss the subject of Kevin DuBrow until you ask him questions that you want answered? I'm not sure I understand. This is a board dedicated to discussion and that is what has been taking place. Without opinions there can't be much of a discussion and no one here has attacked anyone's opinion.dogfall wrote:Out of respect for Kevin I ask folks on the board not to leave a post until Kevin has responded thanks I will try my best to be respectfull as well.

If you have questions for Kevin DuBrow, by all means ask him. In the mean time, let's keep talking about this and all the other Randy related stuff we all hold dear.
Can you picture Kevin on a horse? That is cracking me up!Stiltzkin wrote:somebody needs to take Kevin off his high horses![]()
wonderful now I'm going to have the image of Kevin in a suit of armor, ready for a joust, embedded in my head.Stiltzkin wrote:I'm sure Kevin pictures himself as a knight in shining armorRockyRhoads wrote:Can you picture Kevin on a horse? Rudy's Reply
Rudy has responded to Kevin's remarks with this following statement...
05/10 - Bassist Rudy Sarzo Comments On Upcoming Randy Rhoads Documentary
According to Blabbermouth.net, Glam-Metal.com contributor Deb Rao reports that former Quiet Riot/Ozzy Osbourne and current DIO bassist Rudy Sarzo has issued a statement in response to a recent press release from Rudy's former Quiet Riot bandmate Kevin DuBrow in which DuBrow explained the reasons behind his decision to withdraw his involvement in an upcoming documentary about late Ozzy Osbourne/Quiet Riot guitarist Randy Rhoads.
Said Sarzo: "In response to a recent press release from Kevin DuBrow, I'm compelled to address his statements regarding claims of inaccuracies in my book, 'Off the Rails', and towards an upcoming Randy Rhoads documentary now in production.
I want to highly stress that Dakota Pictures' Randy Rhoads documentary that is being directed by Peter Margolis is not based on my book, 'Off the Rails', or any book for that matter. In no way is the film scripted. It is based on interviews from family members, childhood friends, former band members and fans who want to share their memories and express their feelings about Randy in this special tribute.
The documentary's director, Peter Margolis, is an ex-student of Randy Rhoads. His life was truly influenced by Randy's music and friendship. The film has 100 percent support and participation of the Rhoads family, and from what I understand, Kelle Rhoads [Randy's brother] will be contributing to the soundtrack of the film.
I sincerely hope that Kevin's animosity towards me, which he's been harboring for nearly 25 years, does not extend into this well-meaning project.
In response to Mr. DuBrow's statement that my book is filled with inaccuracies, well, I have yet to see him back up his allegations. Besides, out of the 24 chapters in the book, there is only one that refers to my time with Randy in Quiet Riot. The other 23 chapters are about my memories of Randy during my period in Ozzy's band."

To be a teacher you must never stop learning yourself...
Kevin is getting what he wants out of all of this! and that is attention. This is not about Randy..its about a washed up Metal singer that everyone hates because he is such an A-Hole. He is using this issue to get his name in all magazines and websites he can because nobody talks about Kevin anymore. Here is my point he just released rehab and nobody cares, he goes after Rudy and the film because he wants to "protect Randy's" legacy when its really Kevin's legacy he is trying to improve, and the media eats it up.
This is very easy to see I don't know if I would believe anything he had to say about him and Randy! Kevin is trying to sell CDs.

First of all, not everyone hates Kevin. I find him entertaining in an annoying sort of way.
As for usig Randy's name to promote his band, he's been doing that since the begining. In 1982 there was no Quiet Riot, there was DuBrow. Randy was getting famous and mentioning Quiet Riot in the interviews he gave. So Kevin wanted to capitalize and changed the name back to Quiet Riot - he may even have asked permission of Randy and Rudy. He couldn't make it on his own, so he stole Randy's thunder.
Yes, he is looking for attention, ALL artists are. So what? WE like discussing Randy related issues and Kevin continuously gives us Randy related issues to discuss. That's good enough for me.

LOL..I don't hate Kevin but i dislike the things he is trying to pull at the moment and it gets a bit more complicated than that,
discussing Randy and Kevin and knowing some facts are two different things.
Kevin is complaining about someone else trying to rob Randy of his fame and make money..Kevin has been doing this for years.
The point is that don't matter to people like you because you find him entertaining in an annoying sort of way.

No, he did not ask Randy for "permission" to use the QR name. In fact, in the beginning of his version of QR, Kevin was taking complete credit for forming QR in 1975. Not too cool, IMHO.So Kevin wanted to capitalize and changed the name back to Quiet Riot - he may even have asked permission of Randy and Rudy.
