I am interested in starting to record some of my own ideas and, to that end, I've decided to buy a bass guitar and a drum machine. THe bass is no big deal, I know enough about guitars to pick a decent bass at a decent price. The drum machine however...
I have been looking on eBay and there seem to be LOADS of possibilities. I am currently leaning towards the M Audio Trigger Finger. After watching the little video in the link, it seems as though it would be versatile enough for what I want to do. Which is create rythm tracks to practice leads over.
Does anyone own a drum machine or have any reccomendations as to what is good at an affordable price?

I've tried the software route, and for me it's too difficult to input the drum patterns. I really like the idea of being able to tap in the rythm... plus, my wife is a drummer and could help make the rythms sound cool...
