I dig the sound and playability of Les Pauls but I don't like the weight, I also really like vintage SG's (thinner necks)...I like the weight and body contour of Strats but not a big fan of the necks, curved fingerboard, and stock pickups.......So,
Right now my #1 is my '87 pearl white custom shop Carvin DC125...Neck thru, Alder and ebony, Kahler 2700 trem, (1) Carvin MS22SD with coil tap.
I'll take a pic and post it.

I find that Strats are easier for me to play. I'd love to have a Les Paul, but I just can't justify the price.
My personal favorite is a Charvel strat I've had for years. It's a single humbucker model and the neck is just excellent. If I had the money, I'd have a Les Paul custom made withthe neck copied frommy Charvel ('cept the headstock of course)!

My favorite is my Dark Metallic Blue JS30 Jackson... I used to draw that exact guitar before I bought it and I never knew it existed and then one day I my dad told me it was at the local store, then you know....
***20yr Cndn Boxer ...Randy Rhoads = when I 1st heard him playing on the radio it was too amazing... (within a month I got my own 1st guitar - a Jackson!!!)
that's because it is brian Mays Red SpecialXanadu wrote:Stiltzkin.......Reminds me of the make and model Brian May has always played. A custom instument, I believe????? Very, very cool guitar.
how many guys do you know of, that made a career
with a guitar they crafted with their own hands, from SCRATCH
and how many guitar necks do you know that uses oak
for fretboard?! and blockboard in the body ?
