Frank these photos are great the photo of Randy and Jodi.Jodi is glowing that head of red hair gorgeous, what a girl Randy landed himself a great catch Do you still see Jodi and keep in touch.?? Randy looks not to bad either he's got that smirk on his face which ive seen before. He looks like he's going to burst into laughter any minute. Whats the score with the photo at the bottom i recognise that Guitar neck photo from the Tribute Lp sleeve. [/quote]

days later...hey g.i., i really like that randy & jodi photo too. they were a perfect couple and such sweet people. we've lost touch although i did talk to jodi at the guitar center rockwalk induction in hollywood in '04. it was good to see her again. these two photos were taken at his going away party just before he set off for england. i air-brushed the rr logo onto two scarves as a gift and he really liked the lavendar one but the logo didn't make the photo as you can tell.
in 1978 i air-brushed that shirt for randy. before i gave it to him i had meradith take my picture so that's me 60 pounds ago. when i saw that delores and kathy had included a photo of it in the family photos section, my jaw dropped. it meant a lot to me to be a part of his memories in an official way, you know? anyways since you can't really tell what it is in the album booklet i thought you might like a different look at it.

Hi Frank, That must of been a nice surprise to see that they had included your airbrushed Guitar neck shirt on the Tribute LP sleeve.Did you know at the time that it was going to be used.? It's nice to see photos of Randy that have never been seen before.I'd like to make my collection a little bit bigger but i'm concentrating on his time in the band back in 1980.As the photos aren't as common from that time. What did Randy like to do in his spare time away from playing guitar.I know he had a love for his model trains was this a major hobby, was he a big train enthusiast ?.Its funny as i loved trains when i was younger and i can see the connection. Thanks again Frank those photos are precious.

i had no idea about the album thing until i bought a copy and saw it for the first time. do you realize i've been carrying that information around for almost twenty years with nobody to tell? man i love this place...about hobbies...randy lived and breathed guitar. no hobbies...hell, he didn't have two nickels to rub together. bummed all my cigarettes. funny you should mention the trains. after randy passed away kathy tells meradith and i that sharon had approached her and asked about the train set that randy bought in germany for his nephew and did kathys son enjoy them? this drew a blank from kathy as she didn't have a son (at the time). it seems that randy had purchased the trains for himself but was too embarassed to admit it so he invented a nephew!

Frank i may be looking at an earlier photo but is that your scarf Randy is wearing ?? You mentioned making a scarf for him airbrushing the RR logo. Thanks to Ron Sobel and Randy-Rhoads.com for the photo
