Here is a report which says:
""He is believed to be unable to continue playing, although there has not been any explanation why," the Herald reports.
Lead singer Brian Johnson told a Florida radio station earlier this year: "One of our boys was pretty ill, so we didn't like to say anything, and we're very private about things like this, so we didn't wanna say anything. And he's a very proud man."
Australian radio personality Peter Ford reportedly said “we may not hear them perform or record ever again,” and their record label has not been answering calls or emails."
Other reports have said he's suffered a stroke or is possibly terminally ill.

Re: Malcom Young suffers a stroke?
Yeah that's such a shame as they were in the studio writing a new album and planning a 40 date world tour. I think the guys have made the right decision. Malcolm is a major player in the band and he is very much a vital part of AC DC Bon was the lightning bolt / and Malcolm made up the other essential ingredients to make the band unique and special. They are sadly not getting any younger and i think they would be doing the right thing to bow out now, in total respect for their fellow band member. Get well soon Malcolm
