Hi,
I was 17 when Randy died. Even though at that time I was little more than aware of the extent of Randy's place in guitar history, I did know he was a different kind of musician. I remember because he seemed like such a good guy.
I wasn't really into Ozzy at that time - I was wrapped up in Genesis, King Crimson, Kansas, then on to Yes, Elvis Costello, Bowie, Talking Heads, (I could go on and on...)
Fast forward to now days- I have a son who's quietly obsessed with Randy Rhoads. He is amazingly talented at guitar - in fact, I'm sitting here now listening to him working on the Revelation solo.
So I've become a RR fan through my youngest son. Who would've guessed-
also, I like this site.

Re: Hi
Welcome!
My son is also a Randy fan at the age of 10. He got quite a thrill a couple weeks ago when he got to hold some guitar lessons that were handwritten by Randy...
I hope you enjoy this place.
