... it's Michael Schenker time baby

... and it starts approximately 2:18 in :D
Michael Schenker is, besides Randy(?), the MOST
melodic guitarplayer I know. You know, after hearing
this, I'd say he has Randy beat in that department!

That's from the Japan '84 DVD, Schenker was fantastic there! 8)
The singer is hilarious though, check the other songs from that gig! :P

I have the complete show so I know what you're talking about ;)
Singer is Ray Kennedy. First time I've heard him, bit he does OK :)

Schenker is phenomenal! He looks so uncomfortable when he plays though, all hunched over... Randy had him beat for stage presence!

possibly, but I wonder if Schenker isn't the more melodic of the two? 8) ;)

I remember reading somewhere that Kelle Rhoads commented on when Randy introduced him to Schenker's playing (or vice versa) and Randy said something about Schenker being Mozart reincarnated!

Randy never had the chance to be indulgent like Schenker in his live playing... from what we have available, yes, Michael is much more melodic.

I wonder if he got the inspiration for the V from Schenker? ;)
Atleast indirectly, since it originated from George Lynch(a guitar I yet have
to see pictures of) who claims to be a great Schenker fan :)

I often wondered about the stories George tells related to Randy...

Would make sense though. That V was built for George by Sandoval, so that would
make George the one who referred Karl to Randy :)

True... but as you pointed out, has anyone seen George playing it?

This is getting off topic, but is definitely cool!

No, I don't think so? On his early website, it was stated that the guitar ended up with
Warren Demartini at some point. I tried asking Sandoval about it, but he just wanted
to sell me a guitar rather than answering the question
