I had a great time last night and met up with the one and only Nicko McBrain. He is doing a short tour of the UK promoting a new Premier signature snare drum etc. A very funny guy with jokes and tales from the years of being on tour with Maiden. If your wanting an alternative night out which isn't one continues drum solo. He does a few Maiden songs and it's value for money for £15.00 Plus he stayed back after the gig and signed stuff for everyone at the show.

Paul i have always liked his playing, from his early days with Pat Travers and Trust. He's up there with the best and he was great with the younger kids at the show. Making sure they all got drumsticks and his drum skins etc. A lovely character with a big heart and a very nice guy.

I've seen Maiden twice live, and McBrain is a monster of a drummer. He plays precisely, but with a lot of feeling. Drummers like him are rare nowadays!

Clive Burr was drumming with Maiden the first time I saw them live, I was disappointed when he was replaced, but Nikko was worth seeing live, definitely a monster player.
