Hi Alex
Thanks for the recommendations. Officially they are 08 release, but I have really enjoyed the Killers' album 'Day and Age' and Elbow's 'The Seldom Seen Kid'. I am interested in hearing Depeche Mode's new stuff though. Alex have you seen A HA have been making quite an impact again? I used to really like their music, and I must stay unlike a lot of the dogey 80's music, it stands out as quite cool still.

I've been into Rockabilly lately, so everything I've picked up recently was recorded before I was born!

Got Chikenfoot's album yesterday. The Satriani, Hagar, Smith, Anthony supergroup.
Its great. Period.
Heavier than i thought it would be there are some realy nice rhythms. I think Satriani's input is the most interesting. You can always pickout a player like Satriani, brilliance like that is hard to hide but on this album he sounds very different.
Still Satch just not as you've heard him before. He comes out with riffs that wouldn't sound out of place on a Van Halen or Red hot chilli's album, but the tone and little inflcitions leave his signature on it. The first track is a bit average but once you get past that it easily leaves its mark on your ears.
Overal this is arguably the best album i've got since Gary Moore's last album and
that was probably the best album i got in 2008. This will probably contend for No.1 in 2009

I am not overly keen on that kind of rock...BUT... it sounds really well done (Suzie wants it for her birthday as she loves baldy features

)
