Oh yeah, definitely. I remember when my dad told me to listen to him. He said "According to Eric Clapton, this guy is the best guitarist ever" and I was like "no way" when I heard him I was like "well, give him his due, he's fucking brilliant" hahaha :D

He has inspired me to put my acoustic guitars in open tunings (open C# and open G) and I've been tooling around with slide playing. A real departure from other playing, but still really fun.

Guitar World has just put out a new instructional DVD on slide guitar here... their acoustic DVD was quite good, so I may have to pick this one up as well.
