So I picked up
Iron Maiden Run to the Hills: The Authorized Biography at the library a couple days ago. I remember buying the first Iron Maiden record a couple days after it was released and have been a fan ever since.
I've got a couple DVDs about playing Metallica and Sabbath songs, does anyone know if any such DVDs exist for Iron Maiden?
I'd have to say
Dave Murray is one of the most underrated guitar players of the last 30 years.

Never been a fan of Iron Maiden. Much preferred the mighty Priest!

I'm halfway through, and it is very interesting. As I said, I bought the first record just after it was released, so I have been listening to them since 1980. I was actually surprised at how many lineup changes they had prior to th e
Killers record being released.

Hey Paul, be sure to check out Iron Maiden's "The Early Days" DVD.
3 killer gigs (1 with Paul Dianno! ) and a great documentary, lots of great footage, and clips. That third gig (Dortmund '83) was their best gig ever. (according Steve Harris) Well worth the money!

Good to know, Paul. I'll put that book on my Christmas wish list.

Dutch, thanks for the recomendation... I picked up The Early Days DVD and it is great!
I also found a video of Maiden at the Ruskin Arms from the very early days (DiAnno introduces, "Our next single, Sanctuary!"), so I've been completely immersed in Iron Maiden's music for about a week now.

So I'm feeling lazy tonight and don't want to tab it out myself, so does anyone know of a tab for the song Drifter? All I can find online is the bass tab.
Never mind, I managed to find a Guitar Pro version of the song.

That Ruskin Arms video is from the Dennis Stratton era (the second guitarist on album #1) and DiAnno mentions that their first full length album should be released in a few days... great stuff.
