I love Temple of the Dog... it was a record made in tribute to Andrew Wood of Mother Love Bone. Andrew was Chris Cornell's roommate at one point and Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament were in MLB prior to Pearl Jam. Those Lyrics for Say Hello 2 Heaven on that video are Cornell singing to is friend: He came from and Island and he died from the street - Andy was born on Bainbridge Island (west of Seattle) and died of a heroin overdose in Seattle. He hurt so bad, like a soul breaking, but he never said nothing to me... Andy struggled with heroin addiction and never would let his friends know when he was hurting.

This CD is so good because it was made out of love for a friend. There was never anything else recorded because it was a tribute to Andy and never intended to make money.

Yeah, I heard about the band being a tribute to Andy. And what a tribute it is! Chris Cornell is probably one of my favorite singers of all time. My favorite track on the album is "Call Me a Dog." Awesome!
I normally shy away from Eddie Vedder related music stuffs, but this album is good...even he can't spoil it for me.
