Dio !

Post by The Flying Dutchman »

Found this clip it's from a '84 festival in Holland (called 'Pinkpop') and never saw it before.
Im recently in a sort of Dio revival. What a great band that first Dio line-up was! One of the best ever!

Here another one from '84 in Hollywood:

Rainbow in the Dark and Don't Talk to Strangers are GREAT songs, especially when played LOUD!!!

I tend to prefer Dio with Rainbow and Sabbath, but his first 'Dio' lineup was pretty good.

Hi Patrick

Me and Suzie saw them in London a few months back and they were fantastic.

I read recently that Vivien Campbell didn't rate his playing in this era as he found it wreckless/too angry, I thought it was superb 8)

Thanks

Matt

Hey Matt, he must be brainwashed by those Leppard guys, it has to..... :?

Saw Dio with Graig Coldy and Rudy Sarzo few years back, great show, but for sure I wished that Vivian was there!
