So, we all know the history of the Starwood in the legend of Randy Rhoads, right? Well, last night I got to see the Starwood in a different light... seems that during season 5 of CHiPs, the Starwood took center stage.

I always wonder why the Starwood isn't know worldwide? It has been the cradle for done amazing acts, it does get the odd mention here in the uk but those heady days of the mid to late 70's are rarely talked about now.

No one talks about that stuff because it's usually the younger folks doing the talking. Today you don't need to slog away in a club to get noticed, you can do that in your bedroom with a camera and YouTube now. I was watching an amazing 18-year-old female guitar player yesterday and thinking, "Somebody's going to see these videos and she'll get hired to play guitar." IT's a different world now.
Re: The Starwood

And you'll never see bands like that again, hence the 'different world'. Bands don't come about the way they used to, live performance is not what it used to be.oth wrote:yeah this "different world" has produced a lot of great mega bands a la 1960s-80s-not...
