In a special double issue on newsstands Friday, Entertainment Weekly pulled off the tremendous task of reuniting some of the most iconic ensembles in film and television history.

First up: 'Back to the Future.' Bringing together Michael J. Fox and Lea Thompson for a photo shoot with the DeLorean, EW interviewed the erstwhile Marty McFly and mother Lorraine. "Being with the car is great -- it's more fun being with Lea," Fox says of the reunion. "I just remember all these things with the car -- smashing my head on the door, hitting my knee on the flux capacitor."

Entertainment Weekly managing editor Jess Cagle says of the reunion issue: "For our 20th anniversary, we really wanted to give our audience a truly unique gift. The 'Reunions' project is just that."
While Michael J. Fox went into full reunion mode for the magazine, he says the 1985 film and its two sequels are a constant conversational topic with fans. "I get people wanting to talk about the space-time continuum and I'm just like, 'Dude, I was just in the movie. I don't know.'"
In one of the most touching bits of the interview, Thompson and Fox, both 49, warmly recount filming the 1955 bedroom scene where Lorraine attempts to seduce her time-traveling son. See the clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VnqfnaKE ... r_embedded
