called "brassed off" about a brass band of cours.e Anyway, this woman said she wasn't very good but they gave her a go. So they all played this concerto and she had the main part. When they finished the conductor guy...*ahem* said

"and she calls that wobbly!"

so I shouted out

"it's called vibrato!"

Ever said anything like that that non-musician haven't understood? :D

You get a lot of idiots in who think they are fantastic, yet they think a Gibson Les Paul has a kneck thats 25 inches long . I always explain to them a Les Paul kneck is 24 1/4 inche long and a strat kneck is 25 1/2. They never believe me neither.

What's really funny, is all these morons who listen to nothing but modern music nu-metal greenday etc, because they don't even know these terms and end up being crao guitarists
I have a couple of friends who've played guitar for longer than me, but im pretty sure, that i've actually got more ability, just because i listen and learn better music. they didn't know what a vibrato or tapping was!

If you listen to better music you get exposed to cool things more and so try them out more and improve. Nu metal fans just learn how to downtune more and more, when will they ever realise that they should learn bass... I know someone who tried to stop me soloing and make me start playing in drop A or something silly like that. Modern music is practically making them the opposite of musical.
