The Green Mile

Post by JustTakeAPebble »

I am currently watching it on the tv and it is the first time I have felt close to tears watching it, it just makes me feel so I dunno...

I figured out that the black character, John CofFee is a Jesus incarnate especially with his name John Coffee > J.C > Jesus Christ, but seriously
powerful and moving film I even felt like crying when the mouse is killed
and then healed by John.

I know it's a bit pathetic, but I find it is quite moving despite the character's backgrounds.

Great Movie

That movie is one of those movies you might actually get but never watch because of how it ends. Tom Hanks was great in that flick.

I did the same thing at the end of Shawshank Redemption! Stephen King does a great job of messing with the emotion center of one's psyche I guess. Coz he wrote both of these stories and they both got to me in some way..
Oh bring me some CHUNKY PUDDING, and bring it RIGHT NOW!!!

Beautiful movie! Seen it only once a few years ago, heavy to watch at times (emotional wise), and I was almost in tears too! :)

A fantastc film and the emotion you feel for the prisoners as they are executed is so heightened, I also loved how Mr Jingles allows insight into the inner workings of the people in the prison.
I know what I may have said might display the fact I haven't gone deeper into the emotions and feelings run through the film but like Patrick I saw it once many years ago but I was surprised at how good it was. I do have to admit that it cemented my oppinion the capital punishment is barbaric and something civilised nations should do away with.
