Cool article, I could not imagine Mississippi without Peavey either, from the time I picked up a guitar, I've known who they are. Of course now I know alot of their people personally so there is a real connection to the company. Fender is a great company as well, they are one of the originators so to speak, some of their Ensenada stuff is cool too, much moreso than Peavey's stuff that is built in China or Korea (not a knock on anyone , just my opinion). I would love to get a hold of an old Blackface or something along those lines, that or a Sampson era Matchless DC30. My best friend has on of those (dc30) and my goodness it is a great sounding amp.

I am a huge fan of Fender, or more specifically Fender Japan!! Fender USA Custom and Fender Japan are the best ones I have played.
