This comes from a photo taken by a Nasa vehicle and is still being debated about as to if it is a figure of a life form or a trick of the light. It is not a fake though, that is agreed upon by scientists. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/s ... 232035.ece
I'm going to give you a link Matthew, and you will see just how much NASA is covering up about the topography of Mars! Liquid water, forestation and fossil beds! All the photographs used by this website are all cataloged at NASA JPL Mars image archives.
It is almost fashionable (and very cliched) to mock things like this and post a silly clip of a tin foil wearing geek, but it is a brave person who entertains these things in the face of such mockery!!
The link was absolutely fascinating, I wish I understood it like you clearly do, as I know yo are good with maths and science (unlike me!!). Thetheory of the gas colour of Mars was particularly interesting though. The 'real' look of Mars would be VERY interesting indeed. I am sure there is some life there, no matter how small. As for the picture who knows...
Matt
edit. I am reading all of it...
Having a break from online activity for a while to concentrate on music. Please email if you need to get in touch. Matt

I enjoyed the photographs but like you Matt I wish I understood the mathmatics better.
I am a sceptic but I am about life in general,I believe in what I see. So I don't believe in ghosts or spacemen yet I know that a universe of un imaginable proportions does harbor infinate possibilities of life.
Cologne she'll wear silver and americard, She'll drive a beetle car and beat you down at cool Canasta. And when the clothes are strewn don't be afraid of the room touch the fullness of her breast feel the love of her caress she will be your living end.
The way I look at it is this: Life is an intrinsic element of the fabric of our universe and just from the extreme places life has been found to exist and thrive on earth, one has to think that life is existing wherever it can throughout the universe. I feel where there is liquid water, there is life. Mars has liquid water still and the images that look like top down shots of forest are too similar to earth forestation to be a fluke or something other than plant life, IMO.
Oh bring me some CHUNKY PUDDING, and bring it RIGHT NOW!!!
